Well... isn't that a FPS?  Don't use the excuse of "but the community"  Play fps games, such as zombie panic source and you will realize theres a ton of conversation and close knit communities. It can't be that.

What is it you want to do in a mmorpg, when all you want from it is pvp?

I agree and I post this answer all the time. If you're asking for thse things, they already exist. There are very good FPS games out there, and more releasing all the time.

I think that in a computer game, Role Playing Game means characters increase in power, that is skills, or levels, and or gear.

If the player control is more determinative of outcome than skills, or levels, and or gear, then the "roleplaying" element is missing, and you've now moved into FPS territory.

Nothing wrong with an FPS, I like to play them too. But I don't ask for my FPS to have more character progression, to the point that this is more important than player skill, just like I don't ask that my RPG have more twitch control to the point that's more important than players skill.

I use the 51% rule.

If you go into combat and the outcome is determined 51% or more by the player, ti's a FPS. If you go into combat and the outcome is determined 51% or more by character stats, it's an RPG.

No classes is fine, anyone can do anything, But with lots of character customization, and a nice offline storymode. this would be a game I would adore.

If you guys know a third person PvP focused Game,No levels,  that does not have a Cash shop has lots of character customization and weapons to choose from, PLEASE let me  know >.<

In two words: Guild Wars

Some more words:

You get 10 classes, you can create/delete PVP characters without leveling. Any character is a mix of major and minor class. Your can gear your character and go right to PVP.

No monthly and no grind.

Several fight style:

- Random 4 Vs 4.

- Groups: 4 Vs 4.

- Hero butlle. basicly lader matched player + 3 player controlled NPCS Vs the same.

- Hero acccesnd, several elimination fights 8 Vs 8 with different winning goals, getting to the final fight.

- AB, which is 3 random groups of 4 ordered players Vs the same.

- Guild Vs Guild, Ladder based 8 Vs 8. each from a specific guild. Intricate goal for winning.

I took this as-

If all you want from a MMORPG is PVP then go play an FPS.

The key Acronym is RPG why take that element away from these games?  It's not MMOPVP!

So what you;re saying is the thing I should be doing in an MMORPG is role playing? I don't know many people that have ever played an MMO for it's roleplaying content (the only one I even really saw players ger close to was LOTRO and even then it was slim) MMO's aren't D&D anymore. Besides that point, aren't there always going to be wars, it seems like fighting other people is always present in history/fantasy/lore/etc. so it would appear to have a true RPG experience you would have to have PVP.

"Roleplaying" in a computer game means building a character. That's true in single player computer games, and muliti player computer games.

Think about the first computer games that were labeled "roleplaying", before most people were even on the internet. What made those games "roleplaying" games?

RPG in a computer game has nothing to do with PvP at all. Again, think about the first computer games that were labeled RPG's.

I wrote that thinking of the first computer roleplaying games, in those you were playing a "role". What I think we should do is look at the actual words, "roleplaying" or "to play a role" is the emphasis of roleplaying games, not making a character. You simply controlled a character that was already in that role, hence you had to be playing the role. Now in MMO's you can actually control what your character says, does, and interacts with other characters, this means unless you are roleplaying someone other than yourself you aren't really roleplaying, you're just controlling an avatar of yourself. Most people in MMO's do this, they don't go to BT because Illidan is a bane to the existance of mankind and must be wiped from existance for his evil crimes, they go for "fat loots".

When you say to think of the first RPG's, that's a very stale view that doesn't give a chance for evolution in the genre. And in truth the genre has evolved, giving people more personal options for their tastes, that means providing aspects that can appeal to all my tasted. Were I actually "roleplaying" a bard, then no I would never go into a massive battle, that's not what they actually would have done, but MMO's aren't about the roleplaying element, they're about providing a fun experience to the player.

But please don't say that computer roleplaying was as simple as creating a character, because while you may do that, in reality you are playing the role of this character, you created nothing but stats and looks.

PVP should always remain an extra feature in a MMORPG not the primary feature.

For me the RPG in MMORPG means the adventure in exploring ,the lore, the character customization Etc.PVE content
