You have a very good opportunity to begin to develop the discilpline to become a saver.  You ought to place that money in a bank.  Every dollar in the bank is like a little employee earning interest.

Do not buy games, and do not waste too much time with games.  Save that money and other money to go on a study abroad program when you are in college.

Grammatically Retarded.

Id Stick 500 of that in a bank. If you hate Fable 2 Trade it in at game stop. Get what you want, Keep the 50 for a month or two down the line and grab a second one (Earn the rest). Like was said Holding that money and not running out and spending it will be good training for life.

I votd for Kind off because i can understand why your parents said no, but in the end it IS your Birthday afterall why not treat yourself to something you will like [ like one game  such as Fallout 3 which is awsome and full of playtime and replayability].

"And I Aint Ever Ran From A Ninja And I Damn Sho Aint Bout To Pick Today To Start Runnin"

Honestly man, your parents are trying to teach you how save money, be responsible, and also be greatful for what you have. Not a lot of kids get 500 bucks for their birthday, or a video game (and have a console). You should feel blessed and not angry or sad that your parents won't let you buy another game. I'm about to turn 21 this month an when your my age you will find out how grateful you will be when you get older.

If don't like fable, maybe you can trade it (personally I don't sell or trade my stuff) or let a friend borrow it, to borrow another game. Save that money man and be happy. I remember when Halo 2 came out for Xbox, when my birthday came I got Halo 2, 3 birthday cards and a cake. My grandparents gave me 20-30 bucks. You got the better end compared to me, but I was greatful. You need to be as well.

They won't let you spend it because they think an 87 average is too low? Well I think that's pretty unreasonable. You're old enough to make your own decisions and learn from them whether they are good or mistakes. Your parents are trying to control you , like most parents , what your parents want you to be they should focus on being it themselves , you are your own human being , you should learn to love others not have a 99 average. I think your parents should soften up a little and let you enjoy life more by doing things that give you happiness.

All of you, send me money.

you could try to use the money to buy some female companionship....

If you are not being responded to directly, you are probably on my ignore list.

I/m sure your parents want the best for you.

I'm 48 and never had what is available today. When I was 15, I was chasing girls and pulling pranks and raising hell and doing shitty in high school and I didn't turn out too bad; I run a design engineering firm.

So just show them studies about "grading bias" and how the grades really have no correlation to success especially in high school.
