Common sense is not so common. |
I've spoken to numerous players who like the thought of bringing back the magic of the original World of Warcraft (AKA "Vanilla WoW"). The Burning Crusade didn't really have that much new to offer and what it did have to offer "broke the game" to put it bluntly. Kids/immature players would (hopefully) be next to non-existant because of the fact that pre-TBC content is old and outdated which in turn makes it un-cool. Would YOU be interested in joining a "Retro-Realm"? Ideas? Thoughts? |

I'd go for that. It will never happen though. |

No, wrong.
First your game won't run. Once you've purchased and activated TBC on your account not having it installed will make your game not work. Second whether you own the expansion or not all the changes made by the expansion STILL effect your game. Third most of the people that I know that want to go back to "old school" whatever want this because of the changes to most of the raids. Changes that are still in effect even if you don't own the TBC expansion. See the above. (raid changes aren't my reasons, and this obviously doesn't apply to everyone that might want a roll back of sorts) Fourth ****put something extremely rude here and apply it to yourself**** |

Seems like a good idea, whoever, could the number of people interested in playing vanilla WoW justify making new servers? Blizzard wants to promote their new features, not the old ones. I don't really see it happening, unless a LOT of people want it. Even then, how many current players actually played in vanilla WoW? |

I'd go back to wow and pay them 15 a month for pre-tbc servers that aren't polluted with tbc. It would be interesting if they threw in a bone or two as far as patching/updating the old game as far as raids/instances as well. |

| Canceling a MMO subscription and posting about it, is like voting for an American president. It doesn’t mean shit unless > 50% post about it and *actually* cancel. |

May contain nuts. |
Lol, why does every MMORPG have the 'old schoolers'. Quite frankly if the games never advanced in content or changes I'd leave after a few months. The whole point of development is that new ideas are introduced and then are either run with or removed. The 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality doesn't apply to MMORPGs - they need to constantly evolve. Yes sometimes dev's make mistakes, they're only human, but can you seriously say that ALL the developments in WoW have been bad? |

Horus was weak. Horus was a fool. He had the whole galaxy within his grasp and he let it slip away. |
What if they just took all the old end game dungeons at 60 and 70 and just bumped them up to Heroic for lvl 80? I'm strictly talking MC, AQ 20/40, ZG, and BWL. They can upgrade the loot and difficulty (subject to the instance hehe). I'd have a ball going back into BWL and MC! |
