Im retired as well.. State of New Jersey Law Enforcement. But you know the difference?

Im happy with a mortgage paid, retirement bennies and seeing my kids grow. I don't need over 250k a year to achieve that. If you were able to check statistics, youd see law enforcement retire quite comfortably and are among the highest paid in the country. I make all the money Ill need until I die as I live plainly, like most americans. (not the small 250k+ minority).

But the simple point is, Id like every american to get what I got. Good healthcare, decent education and enough food to eat. Im not for everyone getting plasma tvs and computer rigs like I sport. Just the basics which so many in this country do not have cause of corporate greed and bad social messages.

I would gladly pay a 50% tax rate if I knew certain things were in place:

Free healthcare for life for my entire family. Free college for my kids. Good infrastructure and roads that work. More mass transit/light rail. I don't mind democratic socialism. Unlike a capitalist, I think we all are better when no one needs. We would have a lot less crime without capitalist TV messages telling people to consume more and more. Its a no win. Sooner or later, someone is gonna come up to your house and bop you upside your head to get what you got. Spread the wealth.

We all do better when we all live better.

Im not complaining that were spending so mutch on them Im complaining about HOW its spent. Public Schools are a Joke, Let them Fire bad teachers and have a reason to try and teach and things will Improve.

because education is something that government is not very good at, and it is best left to the market, which will deliver it better and at a lower cost -- AND most important won't raise the ignorant little socialist 'bots it is currently producing.

If you want people to have a better education -- GIVE THEM ONE. No reason to force others into your plan. Plus, every year we have increased the money for education and it hasn't made it better yet.
