"My days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle" - Firefly

PvE was almost exclusively directed at soloing... I play MMO's to play with other players.. especially RL friends.... we ground public quests for a while then quit.   I know.. I know.. its a PvP game.

 edit:

Yes PQ's are group content, but they aren't enough... and after a while they all seem the same from my experience. (though im sure there are some exceptions)

PvP was ruined by scenarios... should have been pure world PvP.

It is not PVP as in OPen RVR everyone only plays the scenarios, it is a poor attempt trying to be Guild Wars!  Yes, I did quit the game.   I tried AOC when it came out and was burned and then tried War when it came out and I am totally out of buying a new game until 6 months or 1 year later.

Trying doing PQs and dungeons solo? No?

Then it's not directed at soloing...

Coming from WoW I found all WAR's PvE group content a refreshing change from soloing 95% of the time. People on low pop servers report having trouble finding other players to do PQs with, however. Server transfers are available though, unless you're in Europe, in which case you'll have to wait until sometime next month, apparently. Personally I'd like to do the dungeon content more as well, but people seem to generally be more interested in spamming scenarios than exploring dungenos. Mount Gunbad is absolutely awesome, but I've only done one wing of it so far due to lack of groups going there, and I won't be tier 3 forever.

Man you don't know what you see. What a difference, sorry, but when you compare this it puts War back into 2004.

Speechless beauty. Have fun in War though.

I have no idea what you're talking about here.

PQs are aimed squarely at group PvE crowd and they comprise the majority of PvE gameplay in this game.

I really do not understand your point. You might say that solo PvE is underwhelming since it is pretty much your standard fare, but PQs are downright revolutionary.

Again I really have no idea what you're talking about. Solo questing is actually THE slowest and THE least rewarding way to play. How can you then possibly say that PvE is directed exclusively at solo questing?

Maybe you played the game wrong? This is a new game - it has new rules and principles. If you want to group PvE then go and do PQs - you can level through the game just by doing PQs with your group and never do the same one again. And if you find PQs "grindy" and all the same then it is simply not true - maybe those in T1 are a bit more simple to ease out players into the game but later on I can tell you they get very varied indeed.

How much later in the game does someone have to grind through to get to the more interesting PQ's?  So far they have been a pretty lackluster excuse for group content.  A great concept, but the implementation hasn't really hit the mark.

Also, what is with this "playing the game wrong" BS.  It isn't like public quests take a masters degree to figure out.  There are classes that can plow through levels soloing PQ's, yes solo.  It is strange that grouping for PQs can be slower, more grindy and filled with downtime waiting on mobs to respawn so you can advance the kill count.

I agree with swiftblade that the PvE is almost exclusively solo oriented, which is good for some people bad for others.  Even the public quests feel like solo content since people run around fighting for contribution for 95% of the timer.  It isn't about team work until the tank and spank LTs and bosses spawn and even then some classes can solo the LTs without aid.
