I dont need to
"get a life".
Im a gamer, I have
LOTS of LIVES!

Most fun I've had playing WoW in the last 2 years.  Too many things that were great to talk about all of them, so I'll just make a list.  When you play a DK you'll know what I'm talking about.

1)  Full set of bags

2)  PvP Trinket

3)  49 Talent points to spend

4)  250 in First Aid

5)  Stealing your first mount

6)  Getting your very own mount

7)  The PvP quest (No potions....LOL)

8)  The mine cart/cannon quest

9)  The frost worm quest

10)  Full set of great looking gear

11)  Being spit on in Stormwind

12) All FP's in Azeroth

May contain nuts.

I have to agree. It's almost like playing a different game. The DK quest chain alone is unlike anything I've experienced before in WoW.

The only down side is that there's so much to do and I want to try it all at once. I'm literally going to be swapping between my DK, my toons in BT and toons in HF every 10 minutes tonight.

Geez, you forgot the torture quests.. and probably the coolest thing of all, the phased quest areas.

It was actually the phased quest areas that made my mouth drop and say "how the heck did they do that".

I don't mean to sound like a WoW flamer.  (WoWs a Love Hate thing for me)  But you really just sound like viral marketing, if you explained things a bit further it would not sound like it other wise.

Anyways, game worth the 40bucks?  Ive been debating to get it or wait 6months till its down to 20.  Or when ever that is.

No its just that WoW-love is such a rarity on these boards. I don't think you can accuse someone with over 1700 posts of viral marketing tbh.

as he says, if you have played it the list sums it all up. is it worth $40? For me I am happy to have bought it, I have found the DK thing great fun.

The final quest for the DK line was just brilliant.

Reminds me of when Jedi hit swg in full force, people all high on how amazing it was, then they were all hated because that's all you saw.

I don't play WOW but tell me, are there 11 million DK's running around?

Well, my first impressions are:

Best.. starting area.. ever! You really have to experience this for yourself! This is the most cinematic/immersive gameplay I have ever experienced in an MMO.

Taht's about it, I'm only level 56, focusing on leveling up my other characters at the moment.

Guess I will step in and throw some things out there on the new expansion as it had me cancel WAR in about 3.5 seconds.

Everything Pappy said about the DK is pretty much spot on. He is right about it being to much to explain really so I will add a little to his post.

Starting as a Death Knight.

You will start in the Necropolis right next to the lich king as you begin your journey as a Death Knight. What pappy was referring to as his pluses are just that, just imagine half the work you would have to put in leveling a character already done for you. You have full bags, full set of starter gear, and the things you will need you will pick up on your way through your Death Knight training.

Your going to start out doing the bidding of the Lich King, on a series of quest that are not only designed to increase your power with each step, but also ground you with a solid basis and understanding of your class. Before you finish the DK series of quest, you will have all your solid skills, enough talent points to almost finish out a tree, and your mount.

What I found MOST intriguing about this new phase of WoW, is for once in the history of playing this game, by god I REALLY wanted to read the quest, I really wanted to get involved in the next phase of my characters evolution. Every single thing about the DK starter area was amazing and polished. You will do around 50 quest before you complete this DK training. In this time you will do the following:

Learn about the History of the Lich King, Morgaine, and the Ash Bringer.

Siege a city using a Frost Wyrm dragon.

Complete 1 chain for each set of your plate armor, which looks bad ass by the way.

Learn to rune carve your weapon. (Infuse your blade with diff attributes to suit your needs)

Fight in an epic all out battle with the scourge vs The New Dawn

Kill a boss that will take you 15+ minutes to down.

Some of the quest just basic like kill 8 of these guys. However many of them have you diving into a mine cart to sneak aboard a ship, use hot pokers to interrogate scarlet crusade to find out information... it goes on and on but they really out did themselves this time on quest progression. Nothing about leveling the DK so far was boring.

Anyway, your going to do a lot of cool things in a 2 hour time span which will have you sitting right at level 58 upon completion. Which if you play wow, you know is BC level to enter the Dark Portal. From there you head out as normal and level up 60-70. However the power of a Death Knight makes things in the BC seem like childs play as you will shread your enemies like a hot knife through butter.

People complained about the BC, but in Blizzard's defense this might actually be the greatest expansion of any MMO of all time. It is that good.

39.99 is a small price to pay to witness MMO perfection.
