The Saga of Ryzom

I tried, seriously tried to love this game.

Ryzom is good but doesnt have enough tools in the sandbox.

Not enough Optional content and a very small community.

This game needs more skills, more gameplay options, more pvp options, territory control beyond OP, more crafting options and an actual economy.

It pisses me off that a sandbox game could be this limited, ehh... maybe Games like UO, SWG and Eve spoiled me and im asking too much from these new devs.

Later guys maybe i'll try the game again a year down the road.

But you forgot that Ryzom is actually in a testing phase and we all are waiting for the new team going to start doing things.

You are right, Ryzom needs more features and more options, but the devs are working to relaunch the game so they need time as they stated in their posts.

I hope, as everyone in game, they can improve the game and add what is needed to make it what it can be.

You are not asking too much, maybe you are only asking too fast for a game saved from death few time ago.

Its a shame really, THe community while small is great in this game. It's actually kind of cool to see the same people posting here in game.

I really wish the community was enough for me to stay.

I've kept myself in guild (Holy knights) and if the Devs ever add more to the sandbox ill be testing it out with you guys.

That's sad, Holy Knights are very nice and helpful people, I team and talk with Ricke and Rahia a lot.

Yep those two players you mentioned are the reason I stayed in Ryzom longer than a week. Two amazing individuals that are very helpful and always willing to BS on vent.

I've gotten a quality two months of gameplay out of ryzom due to my guild and other helpful players in the community. but the game it self for me atleast needs to have more than great players to chat with.

Lets hope the Devs add more tools to the box.

Hope to see you return at a later date when the wheels are a bit more in motion.

This game is desperatly in need of more mechanics.   You can't just make a sandbox and have it grow solely on that merit.

I was waiting, and waiting and waiting, for something more substantional then what the new owners have given so far. I've been visiting the official site a few times a month to see what's new, what SpiderWeb has to say, a whole lot of air so far.

Ah well, I hope something comes out of this just for the people waiting so patiently.

We'd all like to see more added to the game, so long as it's done without breaking the good things already there.

Meanwhile, I'm very happy with what's already there, and play happily in my little sandbox virtually every day.

I tried Eve, by the way, and liked it, but the community was so awful that I couldn't stand to stay. I guess Ryzom spoiled me... ;)
