A brief piece of silliness to amuse us while servers are down - which is your favourite PvE area in SoA?
Factors to consider: maybe it's the beauty of the landscape; perhaps you just love the design & challenge of the quests; or maybe you had a particularly memorable Fellowship that has stayed with you; or perhaps a favourite instance that you just keep coming back to?
Whatever it is - please indicate the part of Eriador (so far) that has, for you, been the best part of Shadows Of Angmar.

(Note to PvP enthusiasts - Unfortunately I've omitted Ettens from the list because (i) we're only allowed 10 options; and (ii) not everyone goes there - whereas we all HAVE to go, sooner or later, to all the PvE areas).

Please feel free to explain choices, argue the toss, grumble about the inadequate design of the poll or just bring our attention to your absolutely favourite bit of this wonderful representation of Middle Earth!
(Oh, and the 'Evendim' option can be taken to include Annuminas, 'Misty Mountains' Helegrod etc etc)

''Hey now!'' - the immortal, cheesy catch-phrase of Hank Kingsly from The Larry Sanders Show.

I voted for Breeland, simply because my first toon was a human, and that is the zone where I first fell in love (if that is not too strong a term for my affection towards this game) with Lotro.

I've noticed that Bree and the Shire stick out, and possibly for the same reasons.  I would actually have thought the Shire was more fondly thought off than Bree, but again, it is probably because most people have went human over hobbit, and that is the area where they got into the game.

If you were to remove this factor, and to look back on what you think was the best zone 'objectively', it would probably be a different answer.  For me, it would probably be Angmar, because I enjoy the quests there, and also the mood.  The graphical subtleties, are quite evident as well.

Have not noticed if Rivendell was on the list.   I would have thought that a lot of people like this area the best, just because of the emotive ambience, with the sound, and the look, etc.  Or would that come under the Trollshaws?

I can tell you one thing for sure.  I cannot wait to see what Moria is like.  More so than any other game I can think of.   Probably in a couple of weeks time, I will have a new number one area!

I am in the minority here i know, but i chose lone lands. I have read many forumns that claim this area has a negative effect on subscriptions due to it being the area most people hit when their trial is up. I chose this area for 1 reason only. Garth argarwen. To me this instance was and is the seperation of players. It is an enormous pain to find a group, and harder still to find one that will stay together to complete all the quests, This is my own opinion however, but the players that do all this chain have had to learn their toons strengths and weaknesses and become better for it. I no longer play Lotro, but i am coming back for the expansion. To back up my words to my statement it is my intention to find a fellowship and run GA weekly for the kin. I had a 50 LM/Hunter when i left for other mmo's. I have not yet found the level of fun that i did in this instance.

Lone Lands is the reason I quit the 1st time, and it's the reason that I won't continue after the latest free weekend. I absolutely hated that zone.
