Blizzard appears to have comfired a "Microtransaction" Payment model for Diablo 3.

They also seem to have confirmed that they will charge for the USE of battle.net...

I just want to see people's feelings on this ESPECIALLY THE starcraft and Diablo fans.

They have not said you will HAVE  to play to use Battle.net, just some features of it, as long as I can join and make games I dont care what other fancy stuff is on there. Think being bounded around are custom chat channels and tornements.

It would be commercial sucide to force people to pay for Battle.net, they would lose 99% of there players overnight.

Although I am fully against any kind of micro transactions we have no idea in what form they will appear so untill then I'll wear my banner with pride.

 Paying for B-Net? They would be idiots to do that. Cash shop I can handle, but paying for B-net to even play on it would be retarded. If they included that into the WoW subscription though....

It is hard to slam a company for trying to make money (it's what they are supposed to do afterall) but damn. They have 11 million subscribers in wow and will likely sell millions of copies of both these games when they come out.

The economy is in the crapper right now. You would think they could throw us a bone. But, like I said, companies are supposed to make money...

Id say thats an interesting Idea, well i guess its just a new way for them to make more money.  Not that I'll be buying either of these games, not really a fan of them  so I really don't care what blizz does.  Now if they would only just bring Starcraft Ghost back to life. It was the only game that I was interested in playing from blizzard till some friends got me to play WoW for a while.

Ah I see.  If you post during the week most of the complainers are asleep.  Thus why when this topic has came up atleast twice and has been ignored.

Again people are over reacting, we have no idea in what form these microtransactions will take.. vanity items? characrter slots? I very much doubt you can buy offensive\defensive gear and spells.

Lets wait before we pass judgment.

I'd be the first to gather together all my Blizzard games and have a bonfire if it does turn out I have pay for Bnet and/or players can buy gear.  Untill then Ill wait and see what developes.

now a days thats what it seems like

but in the past gaming companies were supposed to just care about making fun games and if they got rich in the process thats a bonus. now its all about money and who gives a shit what the games turn out like
