Don't be in Tier 1 right now. There's nobody in Tier 1.

Tier's 3 and 4 are okay on the busy servers.

Averheim, pre-T4, is pretty much a ghost town.  I've got a friend in T4 that says stuff is going on all the time but on a Saturday evening I was sitting in 20+ queues for T3 scens, and absolutely no ORvR going on.  Thought I'd try T2 (seriously, how can T2 be underpopulated?!?) and sat in a queue for 25 minutes until Mourkain popped.

Slyvania, my other server, seems to be thriving.  I don't know if it was just a less fickle bunch, or the transfers helped (Averheim and Sylvania were both destination servers in round 6, guess nobody liked the sound of 'Averheim') but that place is pretty well hoppin'.  T3 queue pops every 2-4 minutes all day and all the way up until 4:15 am when I went to sleep.

Like I said before, after MJ used that 3% 'retention' comment last month, I wouldn't put anything past him.

This post is the perfect example of why people who DO NOT PLAY THE GAME, need to stop pulling facts from out of thin air.  I have been playing since launch and literally have been checking server pop for weeks before wotlk was even released.   Nothing changed with wotlk, the same 24 (give or take) servers have been med/med or greater, before, during and after wotlk.

I am almost at a loss for words as to how people like you think you can say whatever you want to people who actually PLAY THE GAME.  Again, nice try, but I play the game.

I don't think anyone has actually argued with you Tyvolus.  Some just suggested the possibility that Mythic is setting those servers to med/med artificailly.  But whether they are or not, those servers still have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too few people for what is supposed to be a massive pvp game.

Im in Azazel which is med/med (used to be high/high) and according to http://www.waralytics.com/ is the 7th most populated server, but I just finished all 3 chapter 16 areas without running into a single open group! I crossed paths with one or two people the entire time (outside of scenarios)!  something is tremendously wrong with that.

(also, the "Nice try" line takes away some of your credibility.  That is kind-of the 13 yr old girl statement, no offense)

Someone on the WarAlliance forums made a thread on some observations based on a recent small patch that went through before wotlk released.

According their data and others confirming, they noticed that the patch did indeed change the requirements as to what is considered low, med, and high population.

Thus according to the report, Mythic changed it so that Low = Med, Med = High.  AoC did something similar to make it seem like all their servers were higher pop than they actually were.

I too can toss in my vote for this being the case based on my own personal observations, how low pop suddenly became med pop after a hot fix.

I move away from the keyboard to breathe in.

Its dead on my server atm. It'll fill up again though after mythic fixes the problems and people realise WoW.3 is more of the same and come back.

They've already realized that on my server. First two days of expansion were pretty dead. Now everything is back to the way it was. Didn't take too long.

Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence.

Can someone write a letter to Mythic:  Put everone in one server please.  RvR would be a little more fun when theres some poeple around.  I always thought server populations should be higher for a PvP centric game anyway, and I was surprised to see how few people there were even when the WAR servers were maxed out (when you had to wait in queue to log in).  Now its getting really bad.

Anyone else think WAR RvR might be fun if they took the remaining scraps of players and put us all together?

I'm in EU - Eltharion server. Population has actually INCREASED on our server.... high-high tonight. Had destro almost push past reikland :(

Just because someone did not argue with me directly does not mean I can not call them out for spewing false information.  I play the game, there are about 25 servers med/med and have been this way for weeks and are still this way after wotlk.

"but I just finished all 3 chapter 16 areas without running into a single open group!" -- There isnt an MMO out there right now, where someone can't report a similar experience.  Maybe if you said you played the game for a week and did not see another PC, then that might mean something worth telling us about.

"(also, the "Nice try" line takes away some of your credibility. That is kind-of the 13 yr old girl statement, no offense)"  -- I am sure your opinion of what I say will not cause me to lose a second of sleep tonight...but, nice try.

We do need a litle more proof than that. Sure, medium seems to be a broad term in many MMOs today, WAR, AoC, EQ2, Vanguard, LOTRO and so on but just assuming that they changed the term without any evidense for that seems just wrong.

Give us some link or something, ok?
