Pre-server merge I was having a hard time finding RVR and PQ groups. I ended up on a low pop server. I was actually a little frustrated at the merge as it forced me to change my name and our guild lost many members. I was also getting bored with the grinding of PQs and PVE to get to tier 4.

Since the merge  though, I was remind why I like  WAR. Ran around for a few hours today in RVR with a Warband that stayed at full strength the whole time. I am playing Order on that server and we completely owned Empire tier 3. We defeated several attempts by Destruction to retake the keeps and battle points. It was glorious fun.

All-in-all the server merge was the right choice and I think Mythic was wise to do it.

What server merge? Do you mean the transfers?

yeah im kind curious where people are getting this server merge info from. Unless I missed something they only did free transers, and that does not equal a merge.

Yes, I mean the free character transfer from low population servers to specific higher population servers. To me, this might as well be a server merge. i am guessing the low pop servers will go away at some point. I would also guess those that remain on the low population servers will be asked at some point to move their characters off to another server. Its just symantics to me.

Anyway, you got the point and all I am saying is this was a good move. I have had more fun in T3 since the move than I had during the last phases of beta where lots of players were on at one time.

Yes, I mean the free character transfer from low population servers to specific higher population servers. Sad.

Even after the transfers server mergers are *still* a big issue for many people which is clearly apparent if you read around the forums a bit. Mergers would have been welcome news to them so perhaps this was it.

EU specifically doesn't have transfers yet, so they'll have to be patient for little while.
