"And I Aint Ever Ran From A Ninja And I Damn Sho Aint Bout To Pick Today To Start Runnin"

Now it's time for me to get a new MP3 Player. This Creative Zen V Plus 8gb has been great, and I didn't want to go down the Ipod path....now it's just kinda aggervating and I want somthing more advanced. I thought about getting the Original Ipod. I'm not sure about the Ipod Nano. Maybe, but not sure. I did see the Ipod Touch, but I'm not sure about it. Can somebody give me some insight?

$oE , destroying MMO since 1999.

I have a Sony, similar to this one, but a previous version. It works great, I did break the earpone ribbon by sleeping on it after a while, but the MP3 player is fine. Iphone and zune are much too costly in my opinion.

I have yet to see, use, or hear about so much as a single Apple product that does not have a significantly cheaper alternative that works just as well if not better. And that doesn't even take into account their tendency to force you to use only their accessories to go with it.

Does that answer your question?

Not playing MMOs, and hating every minute of it.

If...

1. You don't have an iPhone and never plan to own one, since then it'd be redundant.
2. You'd have an appreciation for displaying video like movies and shows on your device as well.
3. You'd have an appreciation for it as a gaming device as well.
4. You're around hotspots, Mu-Fi, your own Wi-Fi or others Wi-Fi and would want to use Safari or other web apps or e-mail.
5. You don't have independent devices that satisfy all of the above, including something akin to a Blackberry which will handle all calendar/organizing type stuff better.

Basically if all you're lookin' for is a mp3 player, you're overreaching with the iPod Touch. Even a Nano is overreaching if you aren't lookin' to view video.

IMO, the iTouch is great with its features and all, but not for that price. I'd rather save money for a laptop or video games....

I just want a player that plays music and I can play videos and I mean with good control. My Zen V Plus is good but small for me and not all great options for video. It's something for like short clips. My Sony Errisson Wi805 plays videos with even slow mo. Better than my V Plus. Whats good for music and videos?

I got one for free for working Wired's NextFest and I can say for 300 dollars--- NO.

The sound quality is amazing though.
