Or what do you think is the best one hit wonder of all-time? It's doesn't matter what your opinion is, because this is the greatest one hit wonder of all time. Hands down, case closed, end of story. |

My personal favorite one-hit wonder band would be Junkyard. They have a really rich southern rock sound, with moments of pure hard rock. They had one hit named "Hollywood" that was just alright to me, but the rest of that album was great. Most people I play it for really dig "Simple Man" and "Hands Off".
I wonder why it is that most one-hit wonders gained their short lived fame with what I don't even consider to be their best song. Joan Osborne's song "St. Teresa" is a great example. She was wildly popular for "One of Us", which I really can't stand at all, and St. Teresa would probably rank in my top 50 all-time songs. Counting Crows has had a couple of hits, but "Rain King" wasn't one of them, and it's definitely their best song in my opinion. Anyway, I've drifted way off-topic. Sorry |
