Blizzard attempts to make a Warhammer RTS, Warhammer says no, you can't use our name, so they change the name to Warcraft and keep everything else the same. They get sued, but their profits continue to boom. What a scum bottom feeding company.

"It might have been a Mythic Idea, but its Blizzard who knows how to polish it and release good, polished ,finished idea's."

Haha, uh, no. The feature was great as it was. What Blizzard knows how to do is release a simple version fo the idea to people who have never played anything but WoW, so they can all worhsip Blizzard as the gods of creating great ideas!

That is THE most ignorant post I have ever read.  All I read here is unsubstantiated WoW-hate.

Prove me wrong. It is a very well known fact Warcraft was originally a Warhammer RTS, but they couldn't get the license for it. Go ahead, name a unique feature, I'll tell you what game it got ripped out of.

12M subscribers?  Where did they get that from?  Which game did they steal that feature from?  How about a growing population?  That seems to be a new feature.  Every other game since WOW has launched has had it's population 'peak' it's first month and go down quickly after that.

You don't get rich by building the first mousetrap, you get rich by having the best mousetrap in the marketplace.

So which game do you think is better than WOW?  I guarantee you that less people are playing that game then played it last month.

Right now it's just crowds of people on their mounts racing each other for mobs, no fun at all as far as I'm concerned

Well, you could sub to Warhammer or AoC. Theres no shortage of mobs in those to kill due to the populations falling, so I'm sure youll have fun.

Won't even have to race there on a mount.. just walk up to any mob around. It'll probably lay down on the ground for you as you're probably the first person to try and kill him in a week. :)

Or just come to FFXI and play where people actually group up to get xp and kill mobs and not a game that is a solo fest. One thing I always hated about WoW, you only could get people to group up for dungeons. I can't remember how many times I asked people that were doign the same quests that I was, if they wanted to group up and usually I would'nt even get a answer.

Playing Guild Wars. Waiting for Fallen Earth and SE new MMO.

Growing Population?  EvE has had a growing population so that disproves your comment about "Peaking".

Lineage 1 and Lineage 2 and Final Fantasy XI all increased their populations past the first month.

Actually we have no real idea about population after WoW because no company really wants to be compared (it will never be considered a favorable comparison)  But there is some talk that Age of Conan actually did do better then just the "First Month Peak" and the same thing with Warhammer.

LOTRO has never released their subscriber numbers but I would guess it is a lot higher then what they are normally credited with by the "forum experts".

Personally I think LOTRO is a better game then WoW and I can guarentee that more people are playing it this month then last month.    (might not be the case in December but with Mines of Moria coming out their population has definitely increased substantially)

Plus all of that is a moot point anyway.  Considering you know what the OP meant.  He meant gameplay features.  I know what SignusM means too, honestly I can't think of one single feature in World of Warcraft that is a unique feature.

Now does that really matter?  Nope, not one bit.  But it is a tad annoying when you see people claiming that WoW created this or that feature when it just isn't true.

Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)

Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)

Lol, as mentioned before DAoC had that ages ago and Warhammer as a game is based almost entirely around that. To get to the absolutely toughest and best rewarding PvE content you have to conquer and pillage the other faction's capital city - a task that requires the whole faction to coordinate and cooperate in open PvP, instanced PvP and PvE (via public quests that contribute to zone control)

Contrary to popular belief Blizzard didn't invent everything. In fact it didn't invent anything worth mentioning.

You might like the expansion and that's cool, but calling it "revolutionary" or "inventive" in any way just shows your appalling ignorance.

Just because 12M play the game don't make it the best game ever I don't consider it a feature of the game either. Reason why WoW is so popular is it can play on just about any computer and its an easy game to learn.  I play FFXI and I don't care how many people play as long as I can get  a party going, which I have no problems doing.

Playing Guild Wars. Waiting for Fallen Earth and SE new MMO.

Many games have this feature as mentioned DAOC...has had it for years...others...AOC( it's one of the battle keep benefits/reason to fight)....ARCHLORD has the feature. So as has been mentioned....nothing new with that feature.I think EVE might have included it as a reason why the farious factions will want to fight for certain territory.

Haha, wow, yeah, population sure is a nice unique feature, just shows how many noobs a good advertising campaign can rope in, and how long they can brainwash them.  And I love how the WoW fanboys make up new subscription numbers every other week.

You still haven't offered any point to disprove me by the way.
