Basically, I am wondering if, for example, a lvl 45 mage went to lvl 50 and did not use the 5 skill points, then became a wizard, would those 5 skill points still be usable, like could the player spend those points on wizard skills? Any answer is appreciated.

You must keep your friends close...
And you enemies even closer...

You can't change from Mage to wizard without using all skill points. Also, make sure your job level is 50 or you're gonna cry later.

No. The NPC won't let you change your class until you've used up all your skill points.
