They both suck and are dying or dead end MMOs. So flip a coin, its lose/lose.

Much more than what was printed on the box has made it in game. Consequence PvP and the new zone Ymirs pass is some of the extra content.
Read again please, never said AoC had performance issues (at least not with my high end rig, lower rigs probably had them), i said EQ2 had performance issues at release and they fixed them all, which is very commendable given how far they have come. Part of the reason WoW was so successful at the time was because EQ2 bombed so badly then. So to see them come back from that is worthy of some praise. FC hasn't delivered whats on the box - dx10 is on there. And funcom hasn't fixed any of its REAL release problems, only minor insignificant updates - the real release problems being the poorly designed game overall. Ymirs pass isn't enough to fill all the holes in content or end game, the combat is still button mash boring not at all like they advertised, the game is still entirely instanced with a low pop cap per instance (this is supposed to be an mmo?), and I havent seen any changes yet that make me think the game is worth coming back to. EQ2 has made giant leaps in cleaning up the game, AoC has made very little. I'm sorry if you dont agree.. have you played EQ2? |

Dude you are so off that I can't find word. I just left WAR for AoC. And this game is just FCking awesome. I have never read so much BS about a game as AoC. The game is FCking awesome. I don't know what you budged into at lunch, midsummer or whatever, but this game is Fcking awesome now. |

If I was you I wouldn't go spouting the "fcking" awesome lies just yet. Wait until end-game and see how there's nothing to do, even though it has been 6 months since the game released. |

Yes, it have dropped for a while. It might boom again with the SO expansion, hard to tell. I surely noticed the ROK expansion last time. If it happens again is anybodys guess off course. Well, you could try free trial off course, you will only see what's in the noob zone then off course but it should give you a little idea about pop at least. |

I would say out of the two go EQ2, it's just better on every level then AoC, except maybe grahics. Saying that, EQ2 aint exactly ugly, especially considering it's age. Personally though, unless they ever release a 'social' server for EQ2, with group mobs/ quests and inter dependant crafting (with a death penalty and factional divides/ competition as well pz) I won't ever go back. It's become just another lonely solo ez mode quest grinder I am afraid, which is a shame because it could have been so much more to so many if it had just stayed in it's (large) niche of social co-op play rather then compete directly with WoW.
