Greetings all. I havn't read any posts in a while. Could somebody update me on this game? It's been about a month since I last read up on it. What is the status with the beta? Is it really open yet? Does anyone know anyone who has played it? Etc....

You want me to trudge around the internet looking for CVs posted in Greek/Norwegian, assuming they've posted them online at all? No. Besides, there was a post on here not long ago detailing some of Tasos' work history that was immediately denounced by trolls as being 'unverifiably and therefore undoubtably wrong'.

But you're right, it could all be a conspiracy! All the people at the Athen's event, MMORPG.IT, the 'supposed' beta-leakers, and it goes all the way up to the GREEK GOVERNMENT! PUT YOUR TIN FOIL HATS ON BEFORE THEY GET YOU!!

I'd think the reputation of most 'reviewers' from gamespot and PCGamer would be reason enough not to go to them. Gamespot have been proven to change reviews based on bribes (amount of advertisement bought by companies on their site) and PCGamer are no better.

Also - MMORPG.it has a history. It's an Italian site, why is it so hard for you to comprehend that there are websites for other languages that you haven't heard of? Are you that small-minded?

No matter how hard you wish that to be true it does not hold in the real world, if you want credibility you go to a credible source that is how it works, it also has been mentioned and quoted that the 2 admins were under alot of restrictions to what they could post and not (note the DF logo on the Screens as well) some would call that "biased".

No, some would call it 'sensible' or, 'what every other MMO company ever has done'. Seriously, Blizzard/EA/whoever have never let reviewers have beta copies of their game then given them free reign to report on whatever they saw. Never.

5 years. About the same amount of time we had to put up with hype about WoW, only for it to rescind countless ideas in favour of common denominatory favouring, idiot friendly crap.

It's been in development for 5 years. Aventurine have worked on it for 5 years. They started from scratch. Ergo, development time = 5 years.

Ok. So I got myself caught up. If I'm not mistaken the following are true. I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong. Probably in a very angry, accusatory fashion.

1. The Beta is still closed, or so limited as to be closed.

2. MMORPG.com does not have a copy of the NDA

3. The clamor between people who think the game is vapor or even complete myth vs those who think it's open beta and release are imminent has reached  a fevor pitch not seen since WWII.

Hundreds of games a year are released by dev companies as their debut product.  You would have to be stupid to not know that.

Look at that big list to the left of your screen and you will find many examples in the mmorpg genre.

Too good to be true would be "This is the best mmorpg ever and we will pay you $100 an hour to play it, and it doesn't have ads"
