FFXI Episodic gaming @ $10 each... sounds awesome

From playonline.com

Vana'diel Festival 2008 was held today in Tokyo, with a multitude of spirited fans bringing the JCB Hall venue to life. None of those in attendance were able to hide their surprise and delight as the announcement was made for the confirmed development of three new expansion scenarios. In addition to this delicious piece of news, fans were treated to an appetite-whetting preview of the upcoming December version update, and much, much more. We have taken the liberty of preparing a detailed summary of all the exciting events that took place at this year's festival for the benefit of those who were unable to attend.

Check them out here. How can you not like the name "A Moogle Kupo d'Etat"?

"Dreams flow across the heartland, feeding on the fires" - N. Peart

I'm personally interested in "A Crystalline Prophecy"... From the illustration, it looks like it has something to do with Aldo and his older sister (Emma Lynn I think her name was?) as kids.

The one about Shantotto should be fun :).

I believe we'd throw up arms before them...
...and bore them.
So call it home."

Well, I like puns so I think Kupo d'Etat will be favorite :0... however, the illustration that accompanies the Shantotto xpack is amazing imo. <3 Shantotto.

TWILIGHT ONION!

Seems ok, don't think ill be wanting to get them for a very long time though, hell im bearly getting 75 with my first job for my 3rd time around >.< other accounts got deleated.

For me this makes no difference, I probably will get it eventually when ever I have extra cash but it seems a lot like the little bonus story things they added to Guild wars, where you could never get them and really not notice anything major change in ur game play experience.  So Its probably even more optional than WoTG expansion was, and that expansion is quite optional.

WOTG is basically optional because no one really sets up xp camps in the expansion zones. However, I find Campaign to be one of the best things to do WHILE lfg. I think the mini-expansions are going to be 6-man content... which sounds great. I'm sure each one will have a unique reward as well, and that's always good.
