I'm gonna go with Eve, simply because it remains the only sandbox MMO out there that's worth a shit. Hopefully Darkfall will deliver but I'm not sold on the concept by any means. |

/agree I didn't see anything major put out by other MMO's and the 900 pound gorilla known as WoW only flung out rehashed poo in a box. Here's hoping for CCP to do a bang up job with World of Darkness and TCOS not being rehashed poo in a box. |

Out of that list I consider only 3 real successes. EVE was a success this year. Only 3 years ago they had 1/10th the population they have now. Lord of the Rings Online also was a success. They released a descent expansion and they maintained a million users. Wrath of the Lich King was also a success because of the volume of sales as you can imagine. One left off the list was Runescape. I know people don't consider it a good game but its getting millions of subscribers... |

I voted EVE too, even though finanicially WOTLK was the most successful but it had alot more chances to be successful because of the already high ammunt of ppl playing it. EVE on the other hand im pretty shure had a bigger population increase compared to % of playing last year to this year |

Is there any doubt? WOTLK probably generated more revenue in its FIRST DAY than all of the others combined for the year. If not the first day, then the first week would be pretty safe bet. |
