Darkfall

 Meh.  Images and gameplay video are supposed to make the game look attractive and appealing.

I'm still waiting for an image or video to give me the desire to want to play this game.  So far it hasn't happened.

Unfortunatly short, however every time i see a video its more confirmation that the game runs smooth and looks great.. cant wait to play!

About graphics. Graphics is the least of my considerations towards playing a game. If it runs smooth and I like the game mechanics, that's all I need.
Why worry about graphics, anyhow. You can update graphics as you go. But when a game is based on faulty mechanics, you're pretty much stuck within the framework.

Where do I buy the FanBoi blinders you have?

You can convince yourself as much as you like, but if -THAT- is anywhere near what is released then this game is going to fail so fast you'll hear a pop as the air rushes to fill the vacuum it leaves behind.

I was hoping to see something to get excited about, but that was a really disappointing video for a number of reasons:

1. It was too short
2. it didn't show much at all, other than ass, running and a much too quick shot of a battle. It doesn't show:
   • Character creation
   • Interaction with any other player characters - true pvp would have been cool to see
   • Interaction with any NPCs other than the goblin battle
   • Questing
   • Crafting
   • Looting
   • Pretty much anything....
3. The character animation while running is horrible and stiff - reminded me of a cartoon where the character's legs move, but the upper body doesn't.

The game did seem to run smoothly, but that *should* be expected in a game world with nobody else in it...

Sometimes i wonder if developers shouldent show anything froma game before release. So many cant understand that its still work in prgress. And thats not about DF....its about all MMOs in development.

And if a anamtion is the only thing to complain about.......then we have a good game at out hands : )

I think that most posters know what the answer to that "question" is... how many of them admit to it... well that's another matter.

The graphics are the least of DarkFall's worries.  Anyone who is seriously interested in DarkFall will be playing it no matter what the graphics look like as long as it's fun to play.  It just needs to get Open Beta and actually release first. 

Graphics are way down on the list of things to worry about.

I have to call BS on this. So many DF fanbois have pointed out to me (when I was trying to keep faith in FC and was horibly disappointed), that so close to release, nothing major will change. No mircale patch will come.

So if the animations are like this, you can expect them to be like this in the game when it releases. And animations are even more important to a game's -feel- than Graphics, particularly in a FPS game like this. I dunno, I will wait till I can test it, but I don't know if I would want to spend hours watching my character fight and move like -that-.

They are in beta! This isn't alpha we are talking about. This isn't a 'work in progress', this is 'the game' that they are making final tweeks to before they release it.

This is it guys! This is the game you've been waiting for!
