After wasting my money on graphically good looking failures ( eq2, AoC War ) and wasting more money on overhyped games ( Tabula rasa, lotro )  . If Darkfall is even half the game UO and Everquest was. Then it will be gtg.

Graphics aren't a big deal for me either, as long as it looks half-decent.

If I want good graphics I'll just load up some single-player/online title or w/e. If this game delivers what its promised I'll play it, and if the graphics are a little dated I don't give a shit, I mean I grew up playing on a friggen Commodore 64.

What do you mean no offense to the fans, but Darkfall is  a pipe dream? Calling Darkfall a pipe dream, or vapor ware, or anything like that is what offends the fans the most. How can you say, "no offense to the fans" and then say the most offensive thing to Darkfall fans?

Has anyone noticed that ever since this rediculous video was posted, Darkfall hype seems to have sunk in the last few days? I don't know when Darkfall is going to be released or when Open Beta or even a reasonably sized Closed Beta is going to start (it is clear the closed beta is extremely small right now, practically the size of an Alpha test), and I really think the vicious fights over it all is stupid (on both sides).

The existence of Darkfall is on the fanboys' side now, but the argument of Darkfall being any better (or even as "good"...or rather, how bad they are not...as they all stink on a non-comparative level) than all the other MMORPGs out right now is very much on the side of the Darkfall haters at this time. Does that mean it will actually be bad? No. But no above-average gameplay mechanics or features has yet to be demonstrated in any way, and I think a lot of people realized that with the release of this silly video.

I am sure Darkfall will eventually go into Open Beta and/or released at some point in time, but it is not looking good for all those great features promised. The developers never should have announced release dates or betas in the past, and now it looks like it is happening all over again (but atleast this time they proved the game existed...but not what the game IS). Now, if there is some kind of fraud going on (not saying there is), this may be a good tactic in some business sense, but if not, they should really stop talking about beta or release until they are absolutely certain. This video was just counter-productive to anyone except those who were already big fans.
