We must abolish ignorance or we will fail.

And I would be pretty pissed off as an adult if my new MMO doesn't let me play as much as I wants.

This is just a very stupid idea and I bet you a dollar that there will be many angry threads on Aions forum about it.

Do you even know how much 300 hours a month equates to? This will help with bots and farmers.

300 hrs a month is more then the average gamer, besides it amounts to about 10hrs a day play time which is about what a hardcore gamer plays around.

If the limit was less around 5hrs day then I would have a problem with this, otherwise 300 is a great choice by Aion.

I voted for Obama.

Smoking kills - maybe we should enforce how many cigarettes a person can smoke?

Drinking kills - maybe we should enfoce how much a person can drink?

Overeating kills - maybe we should enforce how much a person can eat?

Watching TV kills - maybe we should enforce how much TV a person can watch?

The point I am getting is that we are adults and we should be responsible for how we live our life. In the case of a child then the parents should be the one putting the restrictions not the game.

10 hours/day is pretty pathetic anyway. I play games a lot, but 10 hours/day... on 1 game?! Those people really need help, and 10 hours/day is the perfect kind of help. This will also prevent massive afk'ing, saving a lot of server space.

Btw, If you have a job/go to school, how can you even play 10 hours/day? 8 hours of work/school, + 10 hours of gaming, leaves you like... 6 hours of sleeping, eating, having a life. And if they don't have a job, they don't have any money. Then how can they afford a decent pc (which Aion will need to witness its full glory)?

You know it, the best way to realize your dreams is waking up and start moving, never lose hope and always keep up.

You pay 3€ (in my country at least) for 20 cigarretes, you run out of cigarretes as soon as you smoke them all.

You pay 14€ for a Brugal bottle here, 70 cl and you're out of Brugal.

You pay 4€ for a McDonalds meal here, after around 20 minutes, you're out of McDonalds.

Point made.

TWILIGHT ONION!

I love it 300h/mo should be the limit, Anyone who plays games over that should really rethink their lifestyle choices. And for those few disabled players who can't do much outside or get outside the house there are always other games. But Seriously I always wanted those limits to come to our games too.

They better implement an offline trading system then, I like to vend stuff overnight.

ya this is a good idea but i dont think youll ever have the companies impose this.  why would they stop ppl from playing their games? they dont care about their fans health just the money. guess that is how capitalism works unless you have someone decent at the top. the only thing i can see them doing is after a couple hours of playing having a message come up saying take a break youve been playing for x amount of hours. some game did that i think it was guild wars im not sure but i thought that was a good idea.  but were in america i highly doubt that something like limiting you to 300 hours a month of playing time would work even if it is a good idea.

You have no point!

If you smoke a pack of cigarrettes, you can go out and buy more

If you eat a cheeseburger, you can buy more

If you drink a beer, you can go out and buy more

We are not talking about adding a pay scale to games based on the time you play (which is wrong on a whole nother level), we're talking about putting a national restriction on how much you can play.

I am saying no double standards. If we are saying it needs restrictions for health reasons then we need to put restrictions on anything that is unhealthy.

"Silence is golden but duct tape is silver."

If I am wrong about DF, I will apologize ^_^!

Yeah, like we need companies babysitting us. No thanks. If someone ruins their life because of a game, let them. As long as they (think) they're happy doing it. I don't think companies wouldn't do it because of money, because unless they charged by the hour it's still $15 a month, 300 hour limit or not.

A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"
