I've been hammering and hammering this issue since I've began beta last year.  Mythic needed to put much, much more  focus on the open world war and less on the Instances (scenarios).  I'm glad they're FINALLY waking up to this and putting the focus where it needs to be.  They're putting all their attention on the open world rvr right now because they finally realize that this is what will truly separate WAR from WoW.  Better late than never, I suppose.  Now we just need to overhaul the crappy city siege system and we'll be set!

I think the answer to this may highly depend on *if* they can get the fortresses fixed. If those are fundamental issues they may not *want* to pull people into ORvR. The achilles heel to full blown ORvR has always been *what* can the server handle.

Even if the fortress thing gets fixed, if you start pulling people to ORvR and they actually do leave the scenario's by the wayside, what kind of numbers will OrvR be seeing? Will those numbers even be doable? If it's not ORvR will never be the thing it's all about, not because they wouldn't want to, but because they can't.

Life is too short, go kill someone.

The only thing stopping people from ORvRing is the people themselves and server population.

With the new free transfer from Mythic i transferred to a medium sized server and I see a lot of RvR daily (which I join) and may see a full Warband destroying a keep lord and taking zones within an hour.

The City Sieges almost happened on my Destruction server because we controlled everything and everyone tried to play (and win) scenarios to help our side take over a Fortress but we did fail.

Anyway, give WAR time to fix their bugs and become better. I personally can't wait for the two tanks coming out and I surely can't wait for the new class which will replace either the Greenskin or Dwarf class.

I don't agree that is the only thing although it is an important aspect.  The campaign itself is pretty much crap.  The lack of any real overall strategic meta-game makes T4 pretty bad.  T2 it was ok but T4 without that is just a waste of time.

I'm not sure what you mean about "meta-game". You need 2 out of 3 fortressess.. this requires some heavy cordination on the server nee realm level. Them bastards destroying your beloved city and denying you access to top PvE content is pretty meta-gamey to me.

On the other hand... those additional capitals would go a looong way towards adding some depth to "endgame" RvR thas for sure. Wait and see.. as always.
