The current war'dec system (forced PvP) is too easy for griefers to harass new players, new corps (guild) and new alliance.  Don't waste your money!!!

I never see a game that favor the harassers than this game.

edit: dint you notice that you agree to pvp when you log in ?

its a pvp game... however, the wardec system definitely favors folks who dont want to fight.

#1 If you stay in the starter corporation (which you can rejoin at any time) you cant be wardeced.

#2 IF you are wardeced, you can leave and join another corporation and bypass the war completely... many people do this sadly.

#3 Many people wardec themselves with alt clans making any future wardecs impossible.

#4 Many corps make their own alliances to kick the prices up as well.

Truth is, PvP in eve isnt half as scary as folks make it out to be. Yes you will lose ships, but folks dont seem to realize that a group of properly fit frigates can drop higher class ships very easily if they know what they are doing.

If your looking at learning how to fight back in EvE you might want to take a look at www.agony-unleashed.com They offer pvp classes and are very good at teaching you everything from the basics to advanced pvp group mechanics.

Yea i agree  with you on the PvP griefers targeting new corps but come on if they war dec someone and they don't get a kill (because all the noobs are docked up) then i'm almost 90% sure that they will give it up in a week or so unless you have money in your pockets then you can turn the tides by wait for it Hiring MERCS...omg rly?.. yeh rly

Every EVE player needs to learn, there's no way to completely avoid PVP in EVE.  You can avoid it, true, and if you are smart never get killed.  But PVP is always there, and Wardec's are one way to bring it to the masses.

My corp is full o f new players, yet when we get wardec'd we go out and fight valiently, sometimes literally dying by the hundreds.  It actually wins us major props with the folks who attack us and most actually come to regret their decision. 

EVE is about PVP, and if every player would give it a good try they'd find they enjoy it sometimes.

(and I'm a carebear at heart, with far more losses than kills, but I do love this game)

I have a story:

My friend was in an industrial corp. They were peaceful carebears that never made any enemies and just stuck to mining and manufacture. All high sec based.

One day, they started supplying arms to a major Alliance that was in a brutal war in 0.0. Sure, they didn't actually get their hands dirty, but they did perform an act of war- though indirectly. This lead to them getting wardecc'ed but guess what? They trained up for fighting and got out there

Think about it, if one country (in real life) were to supply arms to another county what happens? War will be declared on that country most likely. In order to hurt your enemy sometimes you have to close their access to resources

Now- how do you plan on the Developers figuring out how to allow carebears like yourself to get by peacefully while letting the carebear corps that directly supply alliances at war with arms?

They cannot make a distiniction between you or another corp/Alliance. For all EVE/CCP know, you are supplying arms to an enemy corp. For all CCP knows, you are a sister corp to a major alliance.

So this is why they charge so much for wardecs in the first place.

Sure, pirate corps may wardec ya in hopes of gaining more then they've lost in their initial investment. Yeah, sure.

But you see, EVE is a pvp game at heart. They never lied to you ever. This is on their web site. Why did I know about this system way before I joined?

Anyway I dont expect you ro read this long post because if you enjoyed reading about eVE then you would have already known about war declarations
