my Favorite part...
First, we have created an RvR Influence system. This system is designed to reward our oRvR players with lots of new stuff that you can only get through oRvR. This will be a complimentary system to our PQ Influence system. This system is already implemented in 1.1 and is scheduled to go LIVE along with that version in December.

Interesting article, very informative. But when Jacobs said this, "Finally, I want to close this out with a brief explanation about the role that we believe that oRvR should play in WAR. It’s really as simple as this, oRvR should be a major focus for leveling, item gain, etc." I got lost. Most of my leveling has been through quests and Scenarios, ORvR has felt like a small (but very enjoyable) part of my game thus far. It seems that these changes should help to fix that. |

But currently PVP gives very less incentive as compared to PVE. Even the PVP gear is horrible. In no way they are trying to make PVP gear superior but trying to balance things out. With added ORVR influence and more gears and item gains people will start PVPing right from Level 1 then reaching 40 and then do it because they have no other choice. |

Good, WAR really need this stuff. Hopefully we'll finally se the players stop leaving and the community really forming after this. Off course they still need to patch in those missing citys, weren't they suppose to be almost finnished? But anyways, this is good news. |

This does nothing to solve the problems right now. Destro will still overpopulate all servers and now gain rewards even faster to futher widen the gap. While it may encourage Order to ORVR more it will also encourage destro to zerg harder then ever. |

I agree on the server imbalance. But short of directing people to specific servers, there's not a whole lot they can do to "force" people to play one faction over the other. A great system will inspire balance or at least cohesion with the core fighters on any server. I view these changes as a big step in the right direction. They released this game with a balanced approach and are now narrowing their sights based on what the customer is saying. I'm looking forward to the additions and the competition that should come as a result. |
