Population figures remain secret, it's something Sony does not release. I can say that there are healthy populations on the two main servers I play on (Antonia Bayle and Lucan D'Lere which are the RP servers) with a larger amount of players on AB.

While I solo primarily, I've never had a problem getting a group when needed.

Yes, the game is still "alive" and as can be seen by the posts here, there are new people trying it and veterans returning every day.

Is it fun? To me it is. If you don't want to spend the $40 for the latest expansion (which gets you all the previous ones as well) then try the trial.

You only give 2 options. My guess is 150k.

Incidentally, the normal number of subscribers for a game is about 150,000 so any game with more than that is doing just fine.

i am thinking of starting

i been playing for a month, it really is one of the best pve mmorpgs out there.

my order i would put it in

1) EQ2

2) LOTRO

3) WoW

Its not dead but before i left a few days ago you wouldnt have guesed there'd been an expansion put out the week before on my server,though i agree AB is the hotbed server population wise.

i like games with lots of people on it.
