once again us real gamers are screwed thanks to the console kiddies and this so called casual gaming fad
my friends we all know this much old republic should be a pre-cu like game. it should be sandbox with a great crafting system no levels and alpha classes. the storyline idea needs to get thrown out in place of what we all want very good mass pvp. bioware you have once again let every gamer in america down and when this game comes out i'm sure it will be shutdown in 6 months much like aoc and war are about to do. bioware you lose |

My god. I played SWG the day it came out and yes it was good. Guess what? I got over 'NGE' and so the hell should all of you cry babies out there. It is so ridiculous. Go out side and get a girl friend if that will make you get over the damn game and now back to the thread. You aren't a real gamer because you played or liked the 'old-style' SWG. Everyone who games is a real gamer seriously get over it you're like a bunch of old women moaning about young people and how things change.
Yes I fed the troll. |

Speak for yourself. I'm looking foreward to an MMO where story means more than phat lewtz and endless grind. Mass Pvp is crap it doesn't work with today's technology. unless you like playing a slideshow that is. |

| Even sandboxes have fundamental rules such as; "Don't eat the cat poop, you'll die." |

The pure fact that this game will be Star Wars will make it sucessful. I know this is hard to fathom but there are plenty of people out there who enjoy spoon fed adventures. Why do you think company's keep producing them? Just to make YOU mad? Get over yourself. |

They changed it because they thought they could pull some of the WoW subscribers away. SWG at that timewas doing just fine with subscriptions. It was a matter of SOE and LA greed, pure and simple. To say that they are letting EVERY gamer in America down is just nonsense. The pure fact that this game will be Star Wars will make it sucessful. If that were in deed the case then SWG:NGE in its current form would be a smashing success. It isn't. It has far fewer subscriptions that it did prior to the NGE. I know this is hard to fathom but there are plenty of people out there who enjoy spoon fed adventures. Why do you think company's keep producing them? Just to make YOU mad? Get over yourself.
I'm not defending the OP but the statements you made that I highlighted I believe are off the mark. It being a sandbox had nothing to do with it failing as there are a couple other sandboxes out still going. They are old but still going. Spoon fed themeparks have an audience, for sure. Those types of games are a plenty. It's just a curious thing to me that these developers can't see their recent titles having a bunch of folks sign up, buy them, play them for 30-90 days and then go back to WoW. Personally it would make me want to try something else to see if I can retain them for a longer period. |

| Mortal Online Interviews & Information The Themepark Method of making MMOs is structured entertainment, akin to a puzzle. I prefer a legos style where I can build what I want and something new everyday. |

I dont understand how these conclusions are reached, its pre alpha barely anything is out on it yet besides a few interviews and screenshots and people already think its going to fail. some rash decisions here... |
