Flaws....

1. Games won't release the week of Xmas.  Wrong.  It's been done by publishers befor.  Why would this title be different,  Just because its an MMO?  Kids are out of school.  Seems like a great time to lauch a game.

2. Have you honestly looked at the newest screenshots?  Looks better then WoW, Warhammer, Runes of Magic, and a dozen of other MMOs that are alive and kicking, and/ or under production.

3. All the NON-Fanboys are going to have a field day?  By this You mean TROLLS.   By Troll I mean people who honestly don't plan to play the game, and just want to torment,  make statements that are completely irrelevent, or false.(LIKE the Comment I quoted)  You think they haven't been saying the same crap all along?  Aside from the Vaporware crap,  Nothing has changed for trolls.  Different games get the same Troll responce.  "Graphics suck"  "It won't be finished" "Pay to Beta"  mobo jumbo.

To his defense, I don't think he meant that about the christmas release. On the rest I agree.

Hey, it's Polarization! Back from your latest ban? Shouldn't you change your sig soon, the game is already in beta. Oh wait no, that would take an ounce of imagination, and you got a sprain last time thinking that one up, gem that it is! Hoho, implying the game wouldn't make it to beta! Bet you feel pretty dumb now...

Anywho, that screenie looked pretty awesome to me. The first one was ass (of the Ork city), but the sunset one... well, it's not winning any awards, but it's fantastic for an MMO! Certainly looks better than WAR. It really shows the lighting engine off (lookie ma, it's capable of more than just dynamic lights!).

You're comparing an MMO launch to the release of non-MMO's? Really?

If downtoearth can admit that the quality of those screenshots might be due to "LOW SETTINGS", I don't see how you can say with a straight face that those graphics look better than any of those games you named. Look at the spikes on the walls and the statue in first screenshot. Black edges? Are you kidding me? That seriously looked like some patch-job done by some amateur who just discovered the magic wand tool in photoshop.

Remember that this was only the introduction. The review havent been posted yet.

Cant think of when a introduction made so much fuss lately : ) Be patient.

I know I'm going to be called a troll for posting this, but this isn't really outside coverage.  Tasos hosts the Noob comic website and they have played other games together.  For a long time.  This is a friend of Tasos.  She's also not allowed to say anything about the game not approved by Tasos first.  So while it's more information on the game, it's not unbiased or complete.

I'm also not saying she's not in the beta.  But it seems to be more of a friends and family beta than a public beta.

(Other people known to be in beta are Darkfall forum moderators, two frequent posters/long time followers, and the two Italian guys)

I agree 100%. This "preview" is a joke. When are we getting some REAL and OBJECTIVE information about Darkfall? Anyone who is still saying they are going to release in 2008, is out of his mind.

Part 1 of the "review itself" has already been posted, so you might want to rephrase that a little bit.

NeroScuro I think you have me confused with somebody else, I’ve never been banned.

Game has been in beta for years according to the developers, this is the third time they have officially said beta is starting and second time I have signed up for beta, not to mention years of beta “soon”, this is nothing new.

Getting their friends to preview their game under NDA with only 1 month left to meet their official company commitment to launch and a few days before open beta is scheduled to end is just another pathetic whimper in my opinion.

Just because they let a few more of their friends and moderators into the testing this time is not exactly anything to get excited about, in fact it shows just how little progress they have made in over 8 years, they are still only in very early beta stage.

Nor is the fact that even with their friends and supporters previewing their feature complete and almost ready to launch game its painfully obvious how m
