Bull.  Complete and utter bull.  My god, does noone see what this is?  Their stock price is abyssmal, they are starving for investment capital and no bank is going to give it to them in their current state.  This press release is just to try and drum up what little hype they can before they go around asking for a bailout.

How are they going to tackle the need for such a large installation?  How about the graphic requirements?  Bandwith?  They haven't got a clue on how to deal with any of it.  Gaute, before he left, was pretty honest about all the hurdles they had to face with an XBOX port.  Of course he kept it out there, what company wouldn't?  Finally, the loudest evidence of this vapor ware bullcrap is the silence from Microsoft.  You would think they would want to promote something like this, wouldn't you?

Yes there were no WMD in Iraq.  The Russians are not invading etc etc. Same principle. Time to take the shades off. The 360 version has been going for a while, more people than the DF dev team working on it. Whether it happens in 2009 or not is another topic. 360 is growing in popularity each day and there is a market for this type of game. Whether people still want to call sinking ship every other month like since the start of the year is ok, but FC is still here and the fact is money is still in the bank to support the development of this. Re-structuring of staff to better provide service is also feasible and I havent read of any direction correlation since staff went directly effecting players in game. Same as when they let the same titles of those staff that went in September too.

Microsoft already gave the green light on 360 AoC.  There is nothing more to say than it is still in development and they are not ready to release more info than that at this point in time.

The company is re-assuring that the cuts won't effect either, just like they assured us they would staff up because there was a need in these area's - and they did. There is nothing to go on to think otherwise imo.

Is this an advanced way of saying that the close to 6 Mill $ operational profit FC made in Q3 somehow has been stolen? And yeah I look forward to when Microsoft will start to market for FC. lol

I guess you missed their bleak q4 projections and ignored what they did to make their Q3 numbers, but hey that's a different topic.

Microsoft already marketed for FC, they did it when the 360 version was first announced.  Unfortunately after that first announcement there hasn't been a peep out of them.  Conan isn't the first MMO promised for the XBOX / 360 that had the same treatment and eventually were announced canceled.  Look it up :)

Your title put it's blunty, the actual quote does not. "our aim is" is very different to your title saying it won't.

Yea, OP. Your title is wrong. When he added that "our aim is", the whole sentence changed. This is just your basic marketing talk. Now if they abbandon Xbox 360 version, they can say: "well it was our aim not to have to do this but we had to do it anyways".

It would be nice to see 360 version but I doubt it will ever come. When devs are so quit about something (no launch estimates, nothing) it usually means they are on very early stages of development.

I'm guessing they will announce some time 2009 that the Xbox 360 version is not coming out at all and they are focusing on PC version.
