So the game is in closed beta, there is not single alive person to confirm he played this game in that beta. It seems they are doing that damn hard job trying to hide this game as much as possible. The question is why is it so hidden?

Take example of any mmo month before release. You would see dozens of videos, presentations or betas, the game wasnt hidden as this. There must be a good reason and only logical reason seems to be a game that is in a

bad - state

Or else, why would they hide it so much? If they release the game in a bad, unfinished state without much info before that there is a good chance all the hype will produce reasonable marketing success.

It is painfully clear that you have done no research on this game or visited the official site, which is fine since we don't all have time to troll forums.

Check out this thread for links to catch you up to speed.

For you to say that there isnt a single alive person to claim he or she played the beta is just a little ridiculous at this point.

Only Noob comic girl(Great friend of Devs), Two Italian guys from MMORPG Italia and thats all that we know and some "pro testers." They talk about starter areas only and Tasos has to approve anything they say and keep it very limited. No talk at all about advanced features of the game or higher level stuff at all.

Tasos released some beta quotes, but we don't know who wrote them, we do know they are not people from official forums.

Last time a company was secretive was Age of Conan, and they were not even close to this secretive and look what happened.

Face it tasos does this every year. They told us Open Beta would be OVEr by Dec. 15th("Early December") but that is not true, OB has not even begun.

This is factually wrong.

If you want to wait till the NDA is lifted and then necro quote me on this, I will be more than happy to provide proof.  I know multiple forumfallers who were invited to the beta after the signup.

But hey way to make up things.

The OP makes a valid point. To my knowledge, and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, there are no CREDIBLE testers who have confirmed that they are currently beta testing.

I'd like to see an established forum member on the Darkfall forums (someone from early 2000s) or, better yet, someone from a professional gaming site who gets into EVERY OTHER MMO beta.

But please prove me wrong. I'd really like to believe this is actually a game and not just an elusive topic that people talk about on forums all day.

EDIT: In regards to your above post: imbant, can you show us any proof that there are forumfallers actually in the beta, or no? I understand the NDA and what it implies, but the fact that we don't know if anyone is even in it is a bit of a problem.

Exactly this, there is just to many hidden things to believe anything of this, i mean not after all this years of same bs. As you said aoc wasnt even hidden like this and yes what happened. So the question is why try to hide something with the roots of your heart so hard? Why? Because something sucks? Or else why?

Yea sure you do buddy. I am on the official forums all the time and none were invited, I see all the long term followers giving up on posting nowadays becasue they are so disappointed they are not in the beta yet.

Tasos is a liar man, why do you believe that guy anymore? Each year they show you a few screens and info to keep you going, but they never release.

There is no word about the game on any retailers site or store, there is no digital distribution partner that would sell the game online and host the downloadable client, there is no BILLING system or account system in place on the website, there is nothing pointing to a release by 2008 which they said was the release date.\

Stop believing them and start to force them to answer the questions, if not you will be sitting there til 2010 and still no game, believe me.
