If buying Marijuana supports terrorists, legalize it so we can buy American. |
Well, I'm not going to. However, let me just say THANK GOD the political ads have finally ended here in Georgia. Yea, everyone thought the elections were over, right? Not so. Earlier tonight, Saxby Chambliss won the US senate seat that was being contested by Jim Martin. The advertisements have been running incessantly since. . .I can't even remember when. Man am I sorry for you people living in Minnesota. I mean, first you have to LIVE in Minnesota, and now you also have to deal with this recount business. What a drag. |

If you’re carrying nothing it won’t weigh you down |
I'm really glad it's over as well. There was more attack ads per hour than the presidential campaign. Of course dumb old saxby won. I hope a bear eats him. Of the 100 republicans and 100 democrats running for senate, esquire ranked Saxby Chambliss as the worst of all of them all.. In 2002 he attacked incumbent Max Cleland, who lost both legs and an arm in Vietnam as soft on defense and lacking in patriotism. During Vietnam Saxby was claiming a "football injury," which couldn't allow him to serve. Real mature.......

Only if the Republican is a conservative. I've about had it with moderate and liberal Republicans. Losing elections and dragging the party down. But if he (or she) is a conservative, it would not only be OK for you to cheer for that person, but you would be right to do so. |

Did you attempt to watch television in Georgia on Thanksgiving Day? Be it football or hell, QVC I bet, they had ad-spaces completely locked up. That doomsday voice started to blur on me so much I didn't know who's ad I was watching. It got pretty nasty down here. I'm glad it's finally over though. It never felt like the election season ended here in Georgia on November 4th. |

So much for a filibuster proof senate. Yet another 4 years will go by with nothing happening in it.
Let's hope a republican finds his head and switches sides. |

Nah. Republicans couldn't get away with what they've done the last two years with the record amount of fillibusters they decided to carry out. It did nothing for their reputation, especially when punctuated by the initial bailout vote where they supposedly voted their "feelings" over a floor speech by Pelosi. Not that Americans were in favor of the bailout, but they certainly weren't in favor of a "feelings" vote when the inevitable passage of the measure would come days later. If any of 'em want to keep seats in 2010, Democrats and Republicans alike, they'd mind America's close watch over legislative events in regards to the economy, and keep bullshit out of debates on the floor; so long as the media keeps it as sensationalism. |

Star Wars Galaxies, R.I.P. NGE was your final death blow. |
59% to 40% or thereabouts. Wow. It's almost as if the people there realized a democrat super majority senate is a bad thing. afterall, it was a RUN OFF election which means everyone voting knows all about Obama's win and the dem control. I smell change in the air already, and he hasn't even been president ONE day yet. Though i hear one county already made a barack obama day official. |
