FPSMMO like TR. I will give you that TR was a failure, but at the heart things it had a chance. A game where people can use tatical cover and movements to get the upper hand. Where a person's skill with a wep and not a level makes the difference. A Call of Duty MMO, where guild organiztion and player skills are the key to victory.
Any Thoughts |

You pointed out yourself why there are not anymore FPS MMORPG - it's a high risk project. With the failure of Tabula Rasa - it is enough proof that FPS MMORPG is not a money maker for companies. |

Don''t mock me my friend. It''s a condition of mental divergence. |
Because your average MMO player doesn't want to have to aim at things and use player skill to win, they like the dice rolls and more passive combat of current MMOs because they consider it more tactical. TR, dispite its numerous other flaws and the fact that the combat was really just psuedo FPS combat, I do think that its combat is more fun than your average MMOG. And be prepared for someone to say "if I wanted FPS combat I would play a FPS game," |

The thing is, why don't game companies just make a super large COD world with added features. Now, I understand they cannot do this with the same type of graphfics and detail because the game would be about 500 gigs large, but something along that line would be really run. People could fight in cities and on plains, create bases of operations, drop zones for friendly troops and a crafting system where people create armor, weps and skills. |

Somebody is, Stargate online seems like a FPS MMO to me... It is off course a risky project so few people dare to try... |

I see the risk, but I also see a huge chance for success. People shooting at each other, setting up bases, completing quests, trying to take rally points, creating weapons, scopes armor, building ships veichals and other things. I see this as a huge task, but one with a huge reward. |

i would very much like to see another game like tabula rasa. i believe that tr was a failure because it lacked any real purpose of playing. once you hit max level it was pretty much the same thing over and over again. no real pvp only matches between your own people which made no sense because there is a war going on why fight your own side? it would of been more fun if you could be the bane but since they did not want it like that its not that good of a game. hopefully someone will wise up make a game like tabula rasa, add two sides that you can pick either one and it will probably be successful. |
