It doesn't matter what MMo you choose to play, it seems that developers will always manage to create one cheasy-mode class for all those 12year old players with ADD, it's just bound to happen. This thread is all about discussing what you guys think is or has been the most OP class ever made in MMo history.

Note: I've only really spent time playing three MMos enough to come up with my list here,  so if you know of a class that was OP in UO back in 2002, put it up....
.

#3. Rogue(WoW)
What other class is known for being able to 1on1 players nude, for over the 4year history of WoW, there has never been a class to piss off players more than a rogue. Perfectly build for PvP from the get go, back in the early days, it seems as if though Blizzard only had one class in mind for PvP for their PvE game. This class is notorious for it's CC/damage/survivability, stun-locking players to dead, having over 2-4 options to escape getting ganked themselves. Rogues from WoW are the reason players will always cringe when they hear about a new game and an option of playing a stealthy classes.

#2.Guardians(AoC)
Ever been one-shotting by a mounted player? well if you've played AoC, you would have with this insanely OP classes. Even for a game known for it's broken combat mechanics and itemizations, the Guardians took the cake when it came to OPness. Built like a truck with the ideal design of being a tank class, in a game of 2shotting, they were a bitch to take down. And considering how the class could pretty much 1shot, you were left to ask what's the point??

#1.Bright Wizards(WAR)
Oh yeahhhh, these motherf**kers are probably the #3 reason why WAR is having a hard time right now with its playing base. If you've played an MMo before, you've probably heard of a thing called a "I WIN" button, well never in a game other than WAR have I seen an I WIN button that's an AOE...

As weak as a BW is in 1on1 match ups, anyone that's played Destro in WAR in T4 will tell you how ridiculously OP this class is, with one button they can AoE dot from a 100ft away every player near their target. And sometimes all it takes is 4-5 ticks to drop every player's health from 100% down to 20% in mere seconds.

#0.Jedi(SWG)

Now since I've never played SWG, I'm just going to number the Jedis as number zero. And If I had played it, from what I've heard about this class from friends and others, the Jedi would probably be my number  one choice. Simple because they're.....Jedis!!

I mean no other class in any game I believe has ever intentionally been made to be OP. I mean they're Jedis and that means they would have to be OP right?? Well maybe for the movies, but as for an MMO, this has to be one of the worst decisions ever made by MMo developers.

Watching Luke Skywalker or Obiwan run through enemies in a movie might seem cool, but having a 12year old playing a Jedi named "Igankudie" or "Pewpewzilla" do the same  with you and your non-jedi friends would suck ass and I've heard from many players it's the reason SWG began to spiral towards epic failure.

(anyways...I hope the developers from KOTOR don't make this same stupid mistake)

Well that's my list...what's yours??

Rogue's in runes of magic are pretty damn over powered aswell, well wonder where they got that from.Anyways rogue's in rom can pretty much kill mages in under 5 seconds or pretty much everyone and they level pretty fast compared to the other classes. The game's still in CB so changes probably would be made...or well i hope so.

Archers in the begining of DAoC.

Casters - any game

ANIMISTS in DAoC, at any point, even after countless nerfs. This one is by far the worst, most overpowered class I've ever seen in 10 years of MMO gaming.

no1 and 2 are from recent games...i think you should really impose some sort of rules to this judgement.

anyway there are nerfs and buffs so how can one really call a class overpowered?

still my list

1. Jedi (swg).  i dont think i need to say much more than you needed to grind out roughly 20 ish professions to max level (crazy grind) and they actually lost XP everytime they died (they were basically god like characters onc...if they reached max level)

2. Rogue (wow) rogues seem to have gone from thief to full blown assassin in the last few years and i honestly dont know why...anyway these guys were easily the most dangerous class in WoW for the whole time i was there.

3. Cleric (vanguard).  ok so this guy wears plate, heals himself, stuns mobs, roots mobs and buffs to the max.  Did i also mention he can tank, heal and dps?  this guy is fun to play and best of all Vanguard is a PvE game...so no nerfs ()

number 1 OP class in any game is the necromancers in EQOA. pets out dmged all otehr classes AND with their blood pacts (suppose to take thier hp and give to another player as a heal) they was relied on as one of the main tanks healers. for what ever reason they can equip arcane resistance gear and bypass the hp conversion. they could use it to heal themselves when it should be an even swap.with the gear it would only take like 100 hp and give like 1200 insta heal they could practicly spam. i had seen raid leaders pass up taking clerics on raids to heal, for necromancers who could out heal the clerics AND out dmg every other class with their pets on auto attack.one of the main reasons i left the game, they kept BUFFING them with every patch.it was insane went on like that for years idk if they ever brought them into line with everyone else or not. i heard they was revamping all the classes a year ago or so.

hmm for 2 and 3.....really after eqoa necros i never really saw any other class as totally OP. most classes in most games taht are seen as op have a counter part that can take them out guess the whole WoW rock paper scissor thing. like i saw someone say wow rogues but i destroyed rogues on my feral druid even when they got they jump on me. altho stun lock mace rogues just sucked to fight, way too much cc going on for one of the best dmg dealers in the game.

True, but at one point there will always be a class that will dominate others, and even though they might have gotten nerfed after time, they're still remembered just how OP they use to be.

fanbois,haters,hypocrites. It gets very dull.

maybe shamans in WoW, for the amount of minimal effort to get a kill in a battleground it was stupid.
