Just curious about this game - wondering if anyone has experience with it. Having been around, I've noticed that there is nothing of note on this "mmorpg"site about this mmorpg.

Maybe it sucks? Not sure, but I was hoping that PotBS would have potential and that fell through, so I was fishing for feedback from some who may have experienced this one.

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

Bounty Bay Online is worse than Pirates of the Burning Sea. Its a grind fest with an item shop with really no story at all. The best two pirate games on the market right now (Sad to say, but...) are Pirates of the Burning Sea and Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Online. PotBS and PotCO are not the best MMOs out there, but if you looking for a piratey game. They are are better than Bounty Bay Online or Voyage Century. Which Bounty Bay and Voyage Century are one and the same, just different geographical locations for the servers. Heres hoping for a really good pirate game in the future.

WoW blows - its as mind-numbeingly boring as WAR with the repetive sameness from level after level after level - after I hit level 60 post launch, I had to bail on WoW for fear of insanity.  Well, that goes for playing any mmorpg for greater than 6 months or so.

BBO has both a f2p and p2p server so you could just register for the f2p and check it out for yourself

note it's in the historical not fantasy catagory so it can take itself quite seriously

you can level any skill you want(f2p has shortcuts for this in the IM), pretty much join any nation you want and go anywhere you want

personally i play on the f2p casually but frequently

if you've ever played pirates gold etc this will seem instantly familiar

as for pirates of the caribean probably best to avoid if you are over the age of 12

As a long time Voyage Century player(same game, only different publuisher)  I suggest you to try this game, especially if the reason is that you a re bored of games that are only the same thing (slaughter mobs for level-farm items-go PvP).

Have in mind, however, that VCO/BBO is a game with singularities.

Fact one: (this brings scandal to those used to other MMOs) You will need more than one account, so choose the free server, where you can create as many accounts as you want.

Fact two:The leveling is indeed a grindfest. But know you can do a lot of it afk (that also freaks other MMO players). The only heavy grinding where you can´t afk is Seabattle, ´cause you´ll end up in pieces and loose what most precious you have in game(no, not your life, but your expensive player made cannons).

If you can live with that, you will find a very entertaining game, where you are never forced to do the same thing. Are you tired of leveling land battle? Go level seabattle. Tired of it too? go explore, make trade runs, missions, etc.

Very nice game, very complex to learn from the begginer, but very rewarding.

Just hope it had not became a lame excuse for selling IM stuff like the IGG´s VCO, where if you don´t spend U$ 300/month(at the very least) you´re out of the game.

I wish my grass was emo so it could cut itself.

I honestly haven't liked pirate games and i dont like this one, but i am looking for future mmo's that have the piratey theme.
