I'd rather wait to hear when GW2 is coming out before throwing my money at this potentially throw away game.

I wish you would have gone over more on the UI and the general gamplay feel.  When I did the beta, I felt the UI and gamplay was that of the late 90s era, but it also felt clunky and cumbersome.

The game's development is by a western company, but at its core it is a Korean MMO much like Aion.  While the developers may have some freedom to change things, they still have to get permission from overseas to do something major.

rofl, I thought the female characters LOOKED bad, now to see them in motion at char creation, they move like they are in front of a stripper pole, what a friggin joke.

God this upsets me so much...people see character creater and base the whole game on that. It's such a good game. :[

Also whoever complains about the UI, you have more customization than I have seen in any game right off the bat.

Resize every piece of the UI individually, add more spots to your userbar individually, remap each one to whatever key, you can move any piece individually wherever you want.

That is without any sort of addon, right from the settings menu.

If you are talking about the rather large mini-map with the transparent background then you can. You need to switch to mouse mode which allows you drag things around wherever you want them.

I don't see why you should be upset. This is the case of AoC all over again. Ie, people who had never any intention about playing the game taking the "moral high ground" by projecting their insecurities on the people who were actually interested about playing.

It's like, if you saw Saw, you'd go around chopping people, or if you saw a police move you'll go around solving crimes and so on. Some people are just incapable of distinguising between reality and fake worlds. It's the same people that go up in arms if you play a female as male, calling you fag or pervert or whatever.

There is only one solution to those people, /ignore them.

Tera is high art fantasy, from a different part/culture in the world.  It may be a bit differnt than what most westerners feel, and if you don't like it than that is fine. But to come on and spew all this hatred shows me there is a massive intolerance to other cultures and racial hatred going on in here.  

As a Korean this offends me to a great deal.  Promoting this kind of racial hatred is horrible and I would like to see the Mmorpg.com staff do something about this.

I have to agree wtih Deron, it's good that you know yourself and know your values and that you stick with them. Having said that, your suggestion that someone who plays this game is somehow a pedophile pretty much doesn't take into account, well,  much of anything in human history.

Are these things over the top? Sure, by some standards they are. But humanity has portrayed nudity in many guises throughout history in many public spaces.

does that mean all those incredible fountains with nude cherubs are there for those who have issues? Does this mean that going through most art museums is just not possible for you? And be honest, are you telling me that anytime you are at a pool and some young children lose their bathing suits that you have to excuse yourself? Of course not. Why? Because you don't view young children in an inappropriate manner.

Same with people who might play this game. Oh, I'm sure they are going to roll their eyes and recognize that it could very well be ridiculous but I would suggest putting more trust in the idea that most well adjusted people don't actually view young children in that light and that any time they do see something like that they aren't going to have to attend therapy.

It's over the top and silly but it can be dealt with by most well adjusted people.

The elin topic just never gets old...

I mean really there is how many other races in the game and people just can't seem to get over the way the elin look...

I'm looking right now and on the right side I see an AD for Grand Fantasia the girl looks like a little girl to me on that too.. Does that mean everyone playing is a Pedophile? It's a pretty common theme in asian games to have anime looking races and that's what the elin remind me of....

And the people that say all this Pedophile stuff about them that says more about the person saying it then it does the game do you really think they made this race specifcally because there trying to appeal to Pedophiles I mean come on.....

If you don't like the game that's fine that's your opinion but stop saying people who do and want to play elin are pedophiles it's beyond absurd that people would think this...

This game has some of the best looking Art and Graphics I have seen in a long time including character models you don't like the asian style well thats your opinion but some people do and that doesn't make me or them Pedophile's lol....

Well, going back on topic, next time I hope RipperX puts some more time into levelling. Getting carried from his teammates (he was lvl 20 and they were 27) and getting one shotted doesn't make for an interesting PvP related video. I would also like to have him get a healer in his team (if possible). Some of the major (for me) improvements in combat over other systems is:

• The tab-less system (well, more of a difference in flavor than an improvement really)
• The way the animation play the role of your cast bar, no need to take your eyes off the action
• The way the animation play the role of your ability bar, no need to take your eyes off the action
• The way the healing is done, either by priest or mystic, no need to watch healthbars and take your eyes off the action
• The way the tanking is done, by adding collision detection into the mix
• The way the BAMs and bosses play and react, not via scripted events, but by their own set of abilities and depending on what the players are doing.

probably to point out some things of it Oh noe little girls in a game well they are like 300-500+ years old. I found the combat to be very enjoyable upon reaching the cap for the second closed beta I found monster to be picking up a pace on how hard they can be and this is only like 27 barely even half way through the game. the game when launched in NA is also getting some early content queen of argons part 1 of 3 giving players two more levels to level new skills new enemies and A rift style raid. No not saying the game is prefect there are some major flaws with open world pvp/gvg in the sens that the enemy guild was a coward and had ganking partys for lowbies and it would be 5v1 more or less and if the guild that was getting gank at lowbie to show up they would just hide in the safezones now a lot of people are complaining about this ones that were slow enough and got the bad part of that stick. with much of that pointed out probably will see a change in the system. 

lvl 1-19 doesnt give much on the game its just there and mostly shows up in all games but once you get to your first instance and bams you'll see just a small taste of this game has to offer. The game looks great just on medium settings and can probably run on must settings at low but again lose the way it looks. If your Eu you have frogster behind it and heard nothing but bad hicups almost every beta and pretest and sneak peaks not saying Na had its share of problems but all of them were resolved very quickly.

Some people are so hung up on current western social stigma and personal hangups regarding sexism and pedophilia that they've ruined Tera for themselves before the game even drops. 

I think the gameplay looks quite enticing and the character customization allows for the creation and existence of pretty much ANYthing from the most grotesque to the most delicate and impish characters...  

which DOES add  to the fantasy and proposed folklore that is present in the MAJORITY of epic fictional whimsical/fantasy stories.

Obviously you have not played the game nor read much about it.  You are, of course, entitled to your opinions, but you should at least come prepared to back up your nonsense with fact. 

The game is fine, and all we have seen thus far is beta builds.  Once you understand the back story on the questionable races, the immature reaction of pedo goes away.  If you play the game you will see the combat system while nothing earth shattering, is well thought out and actually fun.

Anyway, this is turning in to a mini review, something I am not inclined to do.  Point being, quoted has no idea what he/she is talking about, as per the norm for these forums, few do.
