Just wondering if a smaller community like this has qualms with a monthly payment plan?

Player donations is a joke option, right?

Not many people like Micro-transaction (except for 12 year olds who don't own credit cards) simply because although the game is free, it all comes down to who has the msot cash, or who iswilling to spend the most money on in-game items. A monthly makes sense. It is the same price for everyone and advancement in the game is instead based on skill and time put into it.

Sure, farming and selling of in-game items is going on so it's happening anyway but that shouldn't matter as long as Jumpgate is designed to be a game where things you buy can only take you so far.

Whole world is built on + and - what are you ?

If the game is very good I dont mind Montly payment I never mind paying for a game, it all comes down to playability and content.

Monthly payment, most definitely. None of that item mall bull.

Goozex.com Try it, you'll like it.

Don't have sigs with a cheerleaders butt swinging in it, or the prudes in the Age of Conan forum section of mmorpg.com will demand the mods have it removed.

Most likely this game wont be worth the monthly sub,id say go with the ingame item mall.I personaly would prefer to play freelancer (it is mmorpgish online) and there are alot of good mods for it.

Sick of the crap on the radio? Try ETN.fm or party107.com

Can I vote 10 times for player donations so I don't have to pay?

I like the Free to play model, as long as the game shop items wouldn't be necessary to enjoy the game.    I have yet to find a free to play game that doesn't suck.

If a "free to play" game were fun... I'd most certainly spend money in a well thought out in game shop.

Regardless of the payment plan ... EVERY game should offer a free trial.

If a game won't offer a free trial I assume they are hiding something.

I'm also finding myself reluctant to pay for a client.
