I played Jumpgate bud. The community is small.
There are freelancer servers with more players than that. That said I'm very excited about JGE... it's a much much much needed graphical overhaul if nothing else. If they improve other aspects as well it's a super-win-win-win and the game will greatly benefit from it. The biggest reason Jumpgate had/has such a small community is that it's graphics are so outdated (and lets face it, fighting pink seafood in space is just silly). |

Maybe you didn't have a chance to play jumpgate when it first came out. The steady stream of people who have played the game over the years contributes to the size of the player base. Jumpgate isn't the 60 or so players you see playing now, but the tens of thousands that have played over the years. It's a much larger community than you think. |
