The real answer is that socially retarded Asperger's kids cannot function in society so they sit in their homes and play World of Warcraft. Every single video game study has been utter garbage. All those Jack Thompson type attention whores use scapegoats to cover up their own failures as actual researches. A few gamers has Asperger's? Well shit, we can safely say that games cause that disease! Millions of people player Counter-Strike, but one player shoots up his school? CS is definitely his problem. Doctors and layers are tools.

The conclusions made in this research are bogus. I have two nephews and a 40-something brother-in-law with Asperger's Syndrome. One trait they all share is a tendency to become obsessed with stuff that has rules or properties that are easily controlled or requires little social interaction. They can appear addicted to anything from Godzilla movies and Star Trek to Yu-Gi-Oh cards and video games. It has nothing to do with real video game addiction. It's simply an easier path for them to relate to the world around them, which can often be a very frustrating experience when they cannot interpret social cues or are too distracted by sensory overload in an uncontrolled environment to think clearly. |
