Age of Conan

I wanted to hear thoughts from folks who have been in beta, on the level of maturity of the current community.

I noticed in a few posts people have mentioned a lack of maturity in game so far. I know most expected the game to have mostly adults(and I use that term loosely)  based on the "Mature" rating,. The reality is that it may draw the exact opposite.

Anyone?

I Just hope that people who play won't be bunch of noobs even after they reached max level.

Every community has immaturity.

Every society has immaturity.

RL or game.. it makes no difference.

Stop trying to avoid the inevitable and learn to live with it.

Soon you can look past the immature crowd.. the sooner you can move on and enjoy your life/game.

Also the soon you learn how /ignore works.. the sooner you can make them stfu.

I think that there are probably lots of kids that got into the beta that hopefully won't be playing once it goes live.  MAYBE that will raise the level of maturity.

PvE Server for me though.  The FFA PvP is just crazy.  All I wanted to do was look around and see how big the world was, but NOOOOOOOOO....  Camp my but at the Rez will ya.  It was so slow loading that I was dead before I loaded a couple of times.  Kinda hard to fight back in that situation.

It has tits and blood thus it has younger people even if it has a mature rating.

I'm gonna be sick if all I see when I play is a bunch of idiots running around as female characters with no tops...

Ganking has nothing to do with maturity. It's fun and hilarious, but doesn't make them immature.. maybe an asshole if you think they are one, but doesn't make them immature.

That's like saying adults are immature if they watch a cartoon or eat candy or have a teddy bear.

The definition of immaturity is so jaded by peoples personal views that we don't know what is immature or not. The ideal of right and wrong has been so altered with time that there's no telling what's right or wrong.

Number 1 Rule: It's a game. Have fun. Don't take it serious.

If you get upset. Get up and walk away. This is just a beta test. No one is going to force you to play a pvp server on release.

For the love of god people though.. stop complaining.. ENTIRE beta has been pve. Let the pvps have some dang fun for a change..

well the maturity level of the game reminded me a lot of WOW take that for what you will and flame on if you want to but there was plenty of "I'm going to do _____ to your wife""You are a ____"  the word n00b(spelled just like that) plenty of times and various other dick jokes and 15 year old male behavior going on during the open beta. the ffa pvp was even worse, apparently spawn/npc camping and general greifing is equal to skill. Most first person shooters will ban you from servers for this behavior but I guess in MMO PVP it's par for the course. So to sum it up I hope age verification helps out but just because you are 18 or over doesn't mean you are not a total jackass. And I will also be rolling on a PVE server in hopes of lower douche baggery.
