I know that when i canceled my last p2p payment after the GE update there ware over 205k or more people online, I log in from time to time and i rarely see the online player counter going above 150k, or if even it reaches that number, so what's the max players you saw online recently on runescape? |

I check ths site every now and then...I think there was around 180k people online. |

I've noticed a drop in numbers too. Dunno if its due to loss of players, or maybe its because people play it for a shorter time period now because when there was wildy people played hours just because of that.

It seems that when the number of players is under 100K they hide the counter. Today I saw about 100k players, at this evening it's gone up to 140k. I played RS for several years also, I quit about 2 years back. I remember logging in and finding out my yellow phat which I bought for 12 mill was worth 70 million. Dont ask for the money, I was that guy in varrock giving away 100k per good joke. |

There was another thread on this a while back, A few times when I logged in when every world was offline it said there was 100k players online. Others have noticed this as well, at the time I thought it could be a glitch, but from others have been saying they think the counter might be padded. It is shameful if they do this, but I can see why they would, I mean no one wants to play when there is noone on. |

So they edit the online Players, so the game would not appear to be a dieing one so people will keep on playing... Well i doubt RuneScape is dieing but it's future isn't looking to bright for them. They ruined a perfectly good game. |
