Well I finnaly did it, after 3 years of wow i found my next mmorpg ^^

I bought lotro yesterday

I play on snowbourne EU

and I'm impressed!!!

I'm not that far yet, but the graphics just blow me away! I've got a verry good computer and I play everything on highest setting, with no lagg at all!

I rolled a human champion, I haven't played that mush yet but it all looks verry nice! :-) I'm questing now. the controls are similar to wow so it's easy to get into ^^ and I just LOVE the lore!

I'll try to make a review of lotro soon!

Good to hear you're enjoying it so far. I just came back after a few month hiatus, and got a great deal with the anniversary pricing. I agree, the lore presented in the quests is terrific, especially if you've read the books and are a fan. I've been taking my time and enjoying the ride, not trying to rush to end game. To be honest this is the first real game I've done this with, and I'm having a blast.

I quit WoW and swore off MMOs.   That lasted nearly two years, until I decided what harm would there be in checking out LOTRO.    The Devs state they realize working adults dont have time to spend endless nights raiding, and they wanted to create an MMO for people with actual lives.

I've been in LOTRO for nearly two months now, and love it.   Its nearly the perfect MMO and gets better as you get higher up.   There is a great deal of depth to LOTRO, which doesn't involve spending 6+ hours a night raiding with a bunch of other people.   Certainly raiding is a part of LOTRO, but its much more friendly to an adult lifestyle.

I do not miss WoW one bit and can't wait for the first LOTRO expansion.

Thanks Turbine.
