Imagine if AoC had made the sieges more like this, I would be playing it now. Check it out, its a mod for Half Life 2, which I think was inspired by Funcoms ideas. Its called Age of Chivalry :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKN-yv9wSRc Vid 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdRmEjGWNgg Vid 2 It features Sieges with Attackers and Defenders, players siege castles in stages using siege equipment to destroy defenses and storm the battlements.

I'm not sure that's quite the same kind of gameplay I'd be interested in for an MMO... However, a medieval version of Planetside would be stellar. |

Tend to agree. The FPS view wouldn't be my cup of tea for a siege. Stil, from what I've gleaned here and on the AoC forums, any improvement would be welcome? |

Here's a really cool vid of a siege from The Total War series Medieval II done in silent film format... really cool. |

Truth be told, I await the day for a game that has Sieges like the Total War series. That would be incredibly intense, and while I don't need to see 1000 people in a battle, even 100 vs 100, with an intense focus on strategy and teamwork, would be a dream come true. |

Ah yes but we'd all have to be lowly soldiers (some lucky ones elite troops) that would make little impact on the overall battle...and that doesn't make me feel special! I wish Total War had more people in multiplayer battles, that's awesome...kinda sorta like an MMO right? Without the "massively". |

Hmmmm, looks like something Bethesda Softworks should work on. The Elder Scrolls world in an MMO would be........ would be enough to make me give up WAR. Even if it had graphics as good as Oblivion, computers will have improved by the time it was released and it would be much easier to run. Perhaps a little graphical trade-off for performance as well.
