I know, the eternal pessimist, etc...

But can anyone really call these answers?  If you didnt notice a trend, let me quote often heard phrases in these 'answers':

Most likely...

We haven't heard mention of...

No system specs have been released.

It is unlikely...

I don't know an exact time...

We don't have very many details on skills.

Darkfall is implementing unique anti-cheat coding that should...

I don't have specific details, but expect...

Yes, the last we knew...

You can probably...

I doubt it...

We know from looking at screenshots...

I'm afraid we don't have any info on...

That's a good question and one I'm not so sure of myself.

You'll have to trust an old UO vet...

I don't have a definite answer for that as of yet.

How's that for a political answer?

Honestly, I would love to hear some real answers, current info, from folks that really know.  This is just rehashing guesstimates and old info, for the most part.

After reading the first 2 pages I bet a fair number of those who dont like DF or are trolls will hit this thread fast.  Mainly due to the fact that the guys answering questions dont have Developer tags so no one will believe them and will point out all the flaws in that thread.

Its unfortunate because all is needed is 1 dev who has free time (i mean free time outside of work) to peruse the thread and back up their community with at least some answers. Will they? doubtful from what ive seen so far from the devs.  it would be nice to see more games make it since there is a continous flow  of failed games last few years, Fury being one that I actually tested. hell if i was adventurine id at least let a few people outside their test group beta it a little bit, at least to get a small amount of free publicity.

I pity both haters and fans because either way one side will get crushed one way or another. although it not coming out will be far worse then if it does release.

Theodgrim has a valid question on the responses to but that goes back to it not being a dev answering the questions.

As Theodgrim has already demonstrated, any question that cant be answered by public knowledge, are being answered by guesses, so by there own admission the community staff are just as clueless as the rest of us.

So much for "better educating the community"

 

Actually, much of the community isn't 100% up on all the facts for the simple reason that there is a lot of material to go through. No newbie is going to read though 50/100/150 threads in the Forumfall news section to get their answers.

Or they could start with some of the sticky’s directly under the staff Q&A thread like “how to find the answers to your Darkfall questions”, “Compiled list of all the known features on one page” or “the FAQ and screenshot collection”

All those threads are also massively meaty, ya know.

lol what a fucken joke.

They are now resorting to the forum mods to answer questions about the game because they can't get any out of the people building it.

I'am telling you this project is no where even near what they tell people it is.
