Hello everyone, I have a quick question about my Shaman. First off, let me say that I am enjoying him a whole lot, and it is great fun. Anyway... Whenever I use healing spells, I seem to damage myself, why is that? Thbis never happened before, but then I noticed I had little orbs near my spells. I think these may be causing the problem- but I don't know what to do. Does anyone know how to get rid of these?  |

Those orbs are stances. You'll get more as you level up. Mouse over them to see the benefits (if you don't see a tooltip pop up, you might need to hold down ALT to get tooltips to show up...that's an option in interface options). I don't know why you'd be damaging yourself while healing but I dont know much about shamans. Have you checked your combat logs? If you post a SS of the combat logs and what you think the damage while healing is maybe we can be more helpful.
Also...more vets read the official forums...so try there. |

Hey... Those orbs are your Spirit Bonds, or differet stances which can enhance your abilites. You will recieve 2 more Bonds; Krigus Bond (lvl12) - reduce energy and endurance cost, Nag-Suul Bond (lvl14) - Increase Spell damage & % chance to inflict a bleed every time you get hit, and lastly, the one on your screenshoot, Skamadiz Bond (lvl10) - Increased melee damage & % chance for reap attack. Use them - they are only beneficial! And remember the Bonds increase in power at some levels (dont remember which), so from time to time be sure to recheck their bonueses As for your damage by healing bug - I have no clue. Never had the bug myself. The only skill I know that steals health from the shaman is "ritual of sacrifice" but I dont think you get that before lvl 16 or 18. As the poster above said, a screenshot of your combat log would help alot... |
