Anyone coming to this game wanting a wow clone will be sadly disappointed. Im not a beta-tester, but judging by the videos, its not going to be.

Not every mmo post Warcrack is a wow-clone.

OMG Tabula Rasa is a wow-clone! They both have monsters, quests, instances, cheesy pvp and guns! It must be! lol

I am a tester, see my hours in my sig but I want to say this:

If you are looking for WoW, why not just stick with WoW? Do you want to PVE or do you want to RvR? Do you want to fight literally hundreds of other players or do you want to fight in 40 on 40 instances?

People that say this game is a copy of wow are either too young or never played any of the old school mmorpgs. Mythic came out with daoc way before wow,the game started being developed in 1999 and came out in 2001, wow only came out in 2004, most of the features in the game are derived from the original daoc such as the rvr system (which has been upgraded), realm abilities that are rewards for time spent in pvp, armor dyes ,siege weapons , distructable structures. The art style also reminds me of daoc, its darker than wow and if you look at the armor designs they  resemble the classic epic sets from daoc( go check the bright wizard armor set in the warhammer website and then look at the wizard epic armor from daoc). Warhammer is a continuation of daoc that followed the footsteps of the more famous pioneer mmos, like Ultima Online 1997, everquest 1999 and Asheron's Call 1999 . So please stop saying that this game is a copy of wow, this its like trying to say that cricket is a copy of baseball. The only thing that mythic has to learn from blizzard is the way they add content for "free" i cant remember mythic doing it,at least to the extent blizzard does, but overall this should be a great game for pvp fans.

The added the dragon zones and Darkness Fall for free in DAOC.They also added the player housing zones free. I read in a interview somewhere that they have already planned the first 2 major content patches and even the first expansion in mind. So hopefeully they will release content to keep us entertained until first expansion comes out.

Something tells me we will be entertained

The reason WoW needs those content patches is because PvE is only fun for so long. You can do PvP for a -very- long time before it gets old.

The first 2 years of DAoC were the best 2 years in mmorpg history.

I wish WoW had been a DAoC clone insted of the boring gear grind game that it turned out to be.

Heh, can't still understand why do people like to speak of WoW knowing nothing about it? They look so fun and stupid saying something ridiculously wrong about the game but staying absolutely sure they are right...

WoW isn't EQ, never was, is or will. Period. WoW isn't for kids. There are more mature people in WoW than players in all other MMORPG totally (I don't mean korean or chinese bs). And Warcraft isn't Warhammer. It's simple to understand if you have just a little brains, but it looks like alotta people here got no brains at all...

But back to topic. I for myself wouldn't mind if Mythic will implement WoW game mechanics in WAR, staying with WAR setting and pvp-system. I guess it would be a great game. But as far as I understand Mythic want something new and unique. Alright. The question is will this "new and unique" still be entertaining?
