Was there a DF interview in the PC Gamer speculation? I remember talking about it a couple weeks ago, but haven't really heard anything since? So, was the interview in there, or is the magazine not released yet? |

Really? It wasn't in the magazine...wow.. Really poor moderation on Adventurine. They should have stopped that thread before it got out of control...rediculous, putting false hope to their fanbase like that... Then again, being Tasos, cannot say I'm shocked. |

Mike, I made a post about this before something like "Are the official community setting themselves up for another disappointment". It was obvious from the start that it would never have a Darkfall exclusive, but some community staff members started it and perpetuated it as a possibility for weeks and some parts of the community got caught up in the hype. Of course to make matters even worse, Tasos said recently that there will be articles in magazine’s soon, but he wont tell us which ones until they are released! |

But didnt PC Gamer help to start those speculations? Thay said thay would have a special interview from a indie MMO developer in the August issue! This was said at same time as Tasos spoke about that they had done some interviews to mainstream magazines. Anyway, we will find out in a few weeks : ) |

Daarco It did not happen like that, that’s historical revisionism. I dont expect you to read my posts but you can see the dates on them.
Community Staff member starts the thread on official forums, my post about it. Darkfall official community setting themselves up for another disappointment?(yes) Then after tasos mentioned interviews coming in magazines, again my post about it. Tasos’s cynically manipulating community expectations in last update? Thats proves Tasos said interviews coming, but ill only tell where when there released, 1 month AFTER the community staff hyped the possibility of PC Gamer having a Darkfall exclusive that it did not. |

The thread wasn't something serious, They just played with the mind that it could be it. But I guess not so many really thought that it would be Darkfall. Darkfall boards are almost free to speech, so moderators can leave such thread for the amusement. As long they not turn into a +1 thread. |

Let me just try to explain and clarify my point about his one last time, and no I don’t expect anyone to accept it but at least they might understand what I’m trying to say and why I think its wrong. An official community staff member made a thread about the possibility of the next PC gamer magazine having a Darkfall exclusive. ( he later lost his official status apparently for something else but admitted he wanted to create the biggest thread ever) This post has thousands and thousands of views over 35,000 I think (you can check) and hundreds of reply’s and it was on the front page of the official boards for over a month. Other community staff members and moderators joined in speculating that it might be, and despite what people say after, many people obviously believed it might have been a possibility. It was never going to happen, its obvious and common sense it was extremely unlikely and it was never any official comment but the developers allowed there staff and the community to speculate about it for over a month. What does Tasos say 1 month after this has been going on for? Oh yeah there have been interviews for magazines, BUT where not going to say until there out! That is obviously encouraging to community to get hyped and excited that EVERY gaming magazine might possibly have a Darkfall interview in it, just like they did with the PC Gamer magazine. BUT, he’s not going to tell us which magazines the articles are in, we have to wait and hope and speculate that maybe this time maybe this or that magazine might have a Darkfall interview in it when it comes out. This is classic Tasos manipulation of community expectations, with vague and ambiguous assurances/promises that something might happen at some time in the future but he wont tell when or where. |
