Age of Conan

without setting an opinion about the game, i am going to be as fair as i can, in this post i will make a list i will update depanding on post you are going to make, so fanboy or hater this is your chance to say what do you love on this game or what you hate, understand that the explanation that is the more accurate and common on this post will be listed, if many opinnions differe about the same point the side who argued with the best quality/quantity :D will set the score.

AGE OF CONAN :

PRO :

+probably best Graphics, on MMOrpg releases.

+Great world for Role Play

+Selection of available class

+Tortage period, great game immersion

+Music

+Fatality

+Different combat(combo) and healing(hot) system, than majority of other mmo

+Destiny quests

+Mentor system

CON :

-Not Being able to increase FPS, by setting graphic to low

-No economy what so ever

-Itemization ( items rarity, stats bonus...)

-Crash (memory leak)

-Instances crash (server kick)

-One shoting in pvp

-End game boring

-Is it a 18+ adult game ? sex censorship

-Directx10 on the box, isn't implemented; yet*

-Game UI

-Pvp system, not implemented, yet*

-Waiting time when you submit a petition (takes between too long, to not today)

-Unbalanced class

-broken feats

-Instanced world

-Exploits possibility (aoc was tested with bots, in a very closed beta which lead to this)

-Easy banning (have lots of gold = ban , get petitioned = ban, i see lots of ppl complain about it, sure they get account back after investigation, but why ban in first place without a real investigation)

-Invisible walls

-Combats are not dynamic

-Socialisation tools (chat, friend search, instances...)

Pro -  Great class selection

Con - No itemization whatsoever.

im going to put your pro/con, if someone wanna argue ith you, i can remove them later.

Pros: Fun and polished "newbie" zone (Tortage)

Cons: Rampant exploiting, no end game, no pvp rewards (blood money), no dx10 (after it was promised), horrible social options (Guild panel), GM Petitions take days to get responses, Getting banned for using game "Features" (Take the high ground!), Fanatic Fanbois telling funcom everything is alright instead of helping them to fix what isn't right (Avery *cough*), and last but not least FUNCOM.

Pros: Awesome graphics, music, and sound.

Cons: Pretty much everything else.

I don't even think the graphics were all that awesome.  Try telling the difference between a rock and a pair of shoes in your inventory.  They both look like crappy blobs.  It's like they couldn't use the same artist throughout the game so they just winged it in certain areas (mainly the UI). 

Pros - violent finishing moves

Cons - too many to list and outweighs the Pros easily 8 to 1 if not more

I love the combat system, I hope there will be more MMOs with such a system in the future.

But AoC was to simple, no complexity at all, it was like wow, no depth at all (

Yeah I wasn't terribly impressed with the graphics either. For one, for what they were the optimization sucked. I don't care what they look like if the damn game seems like a fucking picture when anything important happens.

Also the art direction in most places save for a few zones was pretty boring. I mean, I liked how they did Conal's Valley and Atzal's Approach but the rest of the zones were just really boring and same-ish.

Gear looks like shit in the game.

Pro? Well the music score was great, I'll hand that to them.

pro:
- good dense storytelling
- nice quests
- good atmosphere
- good classes
- awesome combat experience due to the combat system

con:
- leveling to fast
- some bugs
- unimaginary crafting system
- lack of content/ pvp combat due to premature release

im one of the guys that openly sais that conan is the mmo i enjoyed by far the most having played lineage2, ddo, wow, lotr and war beta

the big con is that there just isnt enough meat on these bones
you have this awesome game but what good is it if it entertains you only for a month or so when we mmo addicts are used to live inside our games

Is this some horribly bad joke? Because last time I played Age of Conman, it didn't have a world. It had a bunch of mini maps linked by teleporters. And role play? Eh... ehehehhe... c'mon...
