preview weekend was pretty good..i wasnt blown away but WaR is solid...not amazing but very solid. I might play it on release cuz im bored.

but if War and AoC were 100% equal in terms of content and stablity.....

much as i hate to admit it after cancelling my account in the first month...Id really have to say AoC would be the better game...

Im guessing by next year Jan 2009 AoC will be a much better game than WaR

Funcom get your **** together.

id have to disagree a little. True, if Funcom had their act together they would be much more successful, but, I find Realm vs realm and the way Warhammer has it set up (similiar to DaoC) is MUCH more enjoyable than your typical All for one and one for all lets PK everyone we run across type of PvP where even half the GMs cannot agree with each other about the nature of the PvP ruleset.

However, with that said, Funcom would have been much more successful then it is now. They would have kept their 800,000 verus the 400,000 they have now. I would not see it as Funcom being better than Warhammer per say, I would see it as an Everquest 2 and a World of Warcraft. Each successful in its own right and each having their own unique properties that are different from each other.

Let me get this straight if AoC had more content and was more stable it would be a better game than one that is more stable and has more content.  By that line of reasoning you can make AoC better than any game,

And the fact that you are counting on the same people that released the game in the state is was in months go to somehow be able to fix and add content to their game  in the next 5 months is breathtaking.

Failcom breaks just as much as they fix with each patch. How long did it take to get AO straight again...?

What If warhammer had AOC graphics and boobs??

But then again with those graphics and boobs it would be nothing like WARHAMMER, Because warhammer graphics are base along the lines of the actual franchise.

Also Failcom lied so much not many people here want to deal with them again so many people wouldnt go back any way.

Aoc will not be better than War. The last 3 months has shown this to be true in the most obvious ways. War is already 10x more stable in a closed beta than AoC is. The only thing AoC has going for it is the enviroment graphics (not armor which looks terrible and the characters are not very good either). As for pvp I cant in any way see conan being better, they wont even be able to get 50 on 50 without lagging to death. I did pvp in War this weekend with at least 50 on 50 in the open rvr (fighting back and forth in a town) and didnt have any lag problems.

And considering what Funcom has done I would not for any reason play one of their games again.

I new things was bad when I talked to conan and they didnt even use an arnold impersonator lol

I'm guessing you are baseing this on the marvelous job of patching and the fast pace Failcom has been releaseing the content promised at launch? or the June PVP patch? or Augusts DX10 patch? Or is it just on the hope that Lipzig wasnt all lies???? for a possible maybe patch sometime in 2009 possibly.

At this point I'm putting my money on more lies since they havent made good on the last bunch of lies yet or the bunch of lies before that.

Totally disagree, PVP is a joke because of the heavy instancing ("Dude stop killing me or I change instance!!!"), severe class imbalance and if you compare the melee to the casting system/stamina usage there never will be fair or exciting PVP going on.

The raid dungeons are like most of the zones bland, I'd even call them the most boring raids I ever experienced.

Funcom does not deliver.

Well I personally hope the game gets sorted and gets a decent ebough rgular following to make it fun.

But enough of hope and down to reality.

There is too much being announced by Funcom to give you much faith in their ability to deliver.   Expansion xbox releases in Far East, ropey projections.

I will eat my own excrement if they have anything like 400k active players.   By active I personally meant people playing beyond their first month and expecting to continue subscribing for several monhs ahead.

The apparant inability to satisfactorally merge servers / transfer chars is worrying.   They knew the game had too many issues on launch they should had fewer Servers at launch anf others ready to go online when th subscriotion base details started to emerge after intial 30-60 days.

Empty instances and servers isnt great for most and pretty much defeats the MMO potential.

You have several new releases planned, it is summer and so people have plenty of reasonsto bail before they get hooked or communities have time to develop.

If you sat down and did a risk assessment for this game al lthse factors would have come up.   In hindsight Funcom royally screwed the customer base either through ignorance of deliberately.

Makes sense to launch when they did to bolster the coffers wit ha chanve to create loyalty beofre WAR and WoTLK were released but not if you then water people down accross too many servers, the product suffers expected bugs and glitches etc.

WAR looks good its had good reveiws but that no guarantee of greater success.
