Can anyone reccomend benchmark SW. I want to record BMs on this piece of crap P4 3GHz and do the same on my new rig when after the bits arrive and I built it. So I can kick myself when I see the dramatic improvement.

Thx

A lot of people use the basic versions of Futuremark software. They still give you a good idea of your performance. I haven't tried Vantage yet, but I still use 3DMark06 and it works for basic needs.

yes futuremark tests are great.

TBH you dont really need this -  there is a little programme called cpu-z thats handy and ofc there are various graphics card tweakers and overclockers / board utilities etc that will show you what you are getting for your moeny.
