Well, I've seen other player characters hitching but I have attributed this to their internet connection. My game runs practically flawless and I have a decent card but not the highest end card.

"Eye for an Eye"

no they have not fixed the hitching for people who think they can run on settings higher then what their computer can actually handle.

hitching is usually caused from fetching data from your hd....just curious, how much RAM do you have?

There's never been hitching... :) Bad internet connection, because they downloaded too much pr0n. :à

I had 2 gig of ram in Xp and hitched.  Turned out to be my 7200 RPM HD.  I got a 10K RPM HD and the hitching disappeared.  I run on high (Except in Moors I run on medium.)  Also, I do hitch in Bree, but who doesn't see a slow down there.

Also, in Moria they addressed file fragmenting and the such.  You should see less of a problem there, however they did state they did not go back to SoA and mess with anything.  You may / will still see hitching there unless you upgrade your hardware.

I know alot of people have had issues with hitching and I got some aswell when I got a new graphic card. Now I dont have any problems anymore and if you still get it there is alot of solutions to theese problems.

such as this guide : http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=67651

I also read a dev saying that with Moria there will be less hitching from loading textures (i think)

The hitching problem had nothing to do with graphics settings. The people that suffer from it have it even if everything is set to lowest possible.

The hitching is caused by hard drive loading in my opinion. I have a high end machine withthe exception of the HD and get some in minor hitching in Bree. Guess it is time to hit Newegg up for a faster drive.
